Just a reminder that even Rose Kimanzi who was gang raped by policeman in a police station has not yet been given an OB even after writing to IPOA or DCI.
One of the things we teach children is where to go when they are afraid If you get lost find a police officer If something happens find an adult If you need help tell someone We teach our children to look for adults because we believe adults are supposed to be their safety net

if people got married & focused on stabilizing finances it would make sense. instead they get married, quickly make 2 children & start cheating. one spouse suddenly loses their income or decides to 'stay home' & ghafla the economy starts defeating the one-income family of 4
We need to get married guys, we can only defeat this economy with dual income households. 😭

According to a new report by Kenyan Wallstreet, the purchasing power of the 1,000 bob note has shrunk to just Ksh 344 (a 65.6% drop). What used to feel like a Ndovu can now barely buy you 5 smochas. @justinewanda explains it all.

Taxing everyone for housing and then using the housing as political gifts is fucked up.

I can't even get a simple smart DL from NTSA in 30 days. I can't get a birth certificate from the DCRS in 3 months. Heck, even getting a company's CR12 takes weeks, something that should be immediate. But your inept officers will process this in 10 days? Kuwa serious kidogo.

Kenyan seers once advised sending the brightest youth to study colonial systems and reclaim sovereignty. Instead, those educated elites moved into the master's house. Alienated by an education that prioritized individual status over community, they now rely on private solutions, gated walls, private schools while public systems collapse. Did the Kenyan elite become the very obstacle to the independence they were meant to secure? To the people complaining these sex abuse cases have created a world where men now have to think 10 times before they touch a woman. Yes, that's the point. It's called consent. Welcome to human decency.

The #OccupyChurches movement of 2024 sparked a powerful reckoning. Once a fearless voice against injustice, the church’s silence in the face of abductions, protests, and corruption left the nation questioning its role. If the Church is meant to be close enough to society to know when people are hurting, what is it supposed to do when the country itself is in crisis? Kenya has been living through protests, abductions, and endless corruption scandals. Analysis: theelephant.info/analysis/20… @chamadui @MunNyambura @MwangiGithahu @jkobuthi @MohanAkal @wmnjoya

Beyond UNEA, the broader climate and environmental landscape has become more unsettled. The durability of multilateral progress remains contingent on political will from developed economies, a vulnerability that history has already demonstrated. During his previous administration, Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Agreement, underscoring how swiftly domestic political shifts can disrupt global climate cooperation. Since COP30, renewed uncertainty around US engagement, including signals of potential funding reductions, institutional disengagement, and a second withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, has reintroduced questions about the durability of global climate commitments. The influence of foreign actors on Kenya’s climate policies has unfolded a complex interplay between global engagements and local imperatives. While international collaboration and aid have offered crucial assistance, they have also prompted concerns regarding national sovereignty and the alignment of agendas. For Kenya to forge sustainable climate strategies, it is crucial to navigate these dynamics, ensuring that external contributions complement rather than dictate its environmental objectives. On Friday, 18 September 2026, I filed a Senate Notice of Motion under Standing Order 101(1) seeking to censure President William Samoei Ruto over a recurring practice of governing through oral and roadside declarations instead of constitutional, statutory and parliamentary processes. The Motion centres on Article 135, which requires presidential decisions in the performance of constitutional functions to be in writing, sealed and signed. It argues that while the President may speak publicly, express opinions and announce policy intentions, such utterances cannot substitute for formal legal instruments where the Constitution or statute requires one. It cites the 2 September 2026 declaration on foreign nationals in small-scale trade; the 3 September 2026 directive to Tata Chemicals Magadi to “pack up and leave” amid ongoing statutory and court processes; past statements on the Mumias Sugar litigation; the May 2025 Meru County debt pledge; unbudgeted health and development commitments; and pronouncements affecti

Let Twiga people not pretend that they were inventing stuff never done in Kenya before. Thats not factual. FACTS: -At least 10 advanced farm produce procurement, logistics & distribution facilities existed in Kenya before Twiga. FJ is one of them. There was nothing new here to invent -elaborate distribution exists including boda, trucks, matatus etc. Twiga started sending 8tonne trucks to go pick 1 tonne of banana in Meru. -small quantity logistics is best left to to local players. E.g. fresh & Juici does not pick from farms. Farmers deliver to their facility. I can assure you a farmer will be much more efficient arranging transport for 1 tonne bananas than Twiga will ever be -at FJ, QC is a farmers' role. You are paid at gate same day based on your quality. You take home your bad produce -FJ pays farmers same day for supplies. Infact payments is considered the most important QC tool. Farmers deliver the best produce where they're paid on time. Twiga would take weeks to pay & collapsed with farmers' money -Twiga's only invention was a mobile app for mama mboga to order their daily requirements. It should have been applied on top of existing facilities, layered [buyout or whatever] -FJ excels at reverse logostics in supply. Twiga until today do not know they loat 20% of all produce because of reverse logistics failure. Stop lecturing people -twiga never hired skills from existing facilities until they started facing friction. They imagined that young guys with laptops would outhink experienced food supply chain folk. -when the rubber hit the road, twiga attemped to pivot and be a traditional food distributor like FJ. It was too late and switching costs too high
Fruit and Juice [also called Beyond Fruits] has had an advanced facilicity at Limuru for this since early 90s. -They supplied Nakumatt, Tuskys, naivas etc and still supply till today -Today they have their own branded outlets called beyond fruits shops 30+ outlets -They focus on logistics and proper sourcing & distribution across Kenya. They do very little farming mostly of mushrooms and herbs at Ndeiya -They also import oranges, mangoes, kiwis, berries, and other exotic fruits and have an elaborate cold chain -Twiga did not get to this scale in volume and throughput -In 2020, the Entire Fruit and Juici operation was valued at Kes. 1 billion. A PE called Barak was looking at putting in Capital So Fruiti and Juici, highly profitable and efficient with a visible business model is worth 1 billion. Twiga spent kes. 25 billion trying to become Fruit and Juici. They should have just spent 5billipn to buy off Fruot and Juice and keep Change. Call Paresh Shah for a chat
