Proteins act as active matter, creating intelligibility by coming together and staying together dynamically to cultivate mutual constraints and mutual affordances, giving rise to biological structural functional organizations (SFOs).

In the old CS days, operating systems were developed with interprocess communications with predefined protocols and some system level configurations. Now in AI each process is an agent, mostly a model function harnessed by natural languages (with some coding); the agent orchestration is purely natural languages. What does this lead to: everyone can build not only his own applications but operating systems. The level of organization is super fluid, adapting to whatever tasks at hand. In this sense, CS is liberated, humanity is set free. Unburdened by fixated designs. Fluid expressions to free ideas. The system/application can literally catch up to the speed of thinking. Furthermore, reshaping thinking in ways impossible before, just like the invention of writing and mathematics. There is no moat left on anything. <one mind + one AI> can reach anything.

Building a permanent base on the Moon or Mars, that is real, high tech Shooting rockets and reuse are getting boring Satellites are becoming cars, boring shit

Terraforming Mars is the high tech; building a base is a prototype or MVP.

The real issue: Grok is lacking and SPCX doesn’t yet have either the capability or venues required to monetize the infrastructure as Anthropic Renting compute for a frontier model company is the irony No other model companies do this. They all need more compute to meet their demand To keep SPCX valuation and massive equity unlock in order, it has no choice but to take whatever route to boost revenue This pressures Elon’s nonstop salesmanship as he has always been
When you think about it… Elon is absorbing an incredible amount of risk for Anthropic. He’s providing them flex capacity while they engage with others for baseload. If things go south on the AI trade, Elon’s left holding the bag first. Their risk is that he eventually makes enough margin on his own business to take the capacity back. They can prevent this by carefully hiring people from his team so that he can never build the talent base necessary.

I was the opening act for a family of ducks. Thank you, Berlin. What a GTC. Europe is building its AI ecosystem and economy, from AI factories to agents to robots. DSX POD: Vera Rubin modular factories built, cabled and tested in the factory, then delivered ready to produce intelligence. Agents: models, harnesses, sandboxes, knowledge and tools. NVIDIA Agent Toolkit brings the pieces together so companies control what their agents know, access and do.  NVIDIA OpenShell enhances safety. Physical AI: new customers across AI-RAN, robotaxis and robotics. Personal AI: after four years building with Microsoft, RTX Spark brings personal agents to the Windows PC. Thank you to President @EmmanuelMacron, Prime Minister @andyburnham and Chancellor @bundeskanzler for hosting me. Great to celebrate Sferical One with Sweden’s technology leaders. And thank you to President @TokayevKZ for the warm welcome. And to our partners and NVIDIA teams: thank you for making it happen. The keynote is here: youtu.be/rF1EsryCAwc
Microducks on stage for Jensen Huang’s famous keynote! We couldn’t be prouder of our little ones. 🥹

There is no finitude without transcendence; no transcendence without finitude; going all the way back to the primordial symbol-matter relations That principle is already embodied in biology; otherwise there would be no life to start with This is a natural outcome: expanding the RSI of finitude and transcendence, as biology has already been doing for billions of years

After more than a handful of systems developed with Astra and run by it, I also developed the IDE (instructions for development and enhancement): the science and engineering of the harness for developing any system. The quality improvements (not just efficiency but the impossible turned possible, so I can shift my focus from what is to what can and could be) are beyond quantification. My work has been highly complex. Say, regenerative universality as the MOAT (mother of all technology) since Turing, von Neumann, Pattee, Gershenfeld, and of course Mother Nature’s invention of RU in ribosomes, mind, and natural languages. Such an IDE, as meta-system development harness engineering, is truly amazing. I can literally release this to the world and boost AI usage a million-fold. Who does not want to develop systems with AI, run by AI, to solve real-world problems, huh? Back to reality: we’re still seeing silly debates on compute, GPU pricing, token pricing, usage, and ARR. Reality has moved way ahead of belief. The gap is appalling. I have never seen such a disconnect and such stupidity in the last few decades.

This shopping spree for neoclouds starts next week: a generational opportunity. Elon is super cool at scaling, lower-margin mass production, which will benefit humanity in the end. That is a plus, a huge plus. But not without headwinds. First, there is no shortage of enemies, a staggering 50+% of the US population won’t relent an inch to him. Grid contracts were signed with neoclouds many years ago, in local communities with strong political currents, and SPCX is late to the party. Turbine blade casting won’t move the needle much. Supporting startups and permissionless innovation is at the root of American culture and common sense in Silicon Valley. Grok is a competitor to Anthropic, but IREN is not. Jensen is watching from the back. In his mind, neoclouds can only succeed. Nvidia is the real driver, with strong muscles for fast compute deployment: - NVIDIA DSX POD (AI Factories in Containers) cuts deployment from 5 months to 1 - Massive $500B fund, with real profit to back it up - Omniverse to emulate data center construction from concept to reality - Can unlock physical AI with industrial partners to automate data center construction Yes, he loves SPCX growth, but not to the extent of becoming another hyperscaler that stifles the ecosystems. Jensen, the ecosystem orchestrator - ecosystem success is Nvidia success. Elon operates a different philosophy. The SPCX IPO moved up the space economy startups and companies, but has now tanked them all. Not sure whether he is unaware of this or doing it on purpose again, tanking the neoclouds? But neoclouds are obviously nothing like the tanked space economy companies. They are rooted in the community, aligned with stakeholders, backed by Jensen. Start shopping.

😂 Elon is raising $40 bil in debt, pay that to Jensen, then Jensen is going to use that to bail out neoclouds that need it. Circular economy keeps winning

Am I missing something? Where do the inputs to train this simulation come from? Compute is not the bottleneck in biology. It’s estimated we have only sequenced genomes for 1% of eukaryotic species, and DNA is just the beginning. Infinite compute can’t help you simulate a system that’s never even been observed or measured.
If you had an exponential amount of compute you could solve simulate biology exactly and wouldn't need to run any experiments. Some of you will think "of course, but that's an unrealistic assumption" and others will think "no, you need experiments even with that much compute. That's just How It's Done". You would of course need evaluations once you have a solution, but you don't in principle need experiments to find it: Experiments are a way to save compute, dating from a time when it was much more expensive. And I think the presentation is exponential but real systems aren't irreducibly exponential. AlphaFold worked, after all.

Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

I like Elon and of course I respect Elon, he’s one of the best entrepreneurs on the planet however nothing he says about neoclouds should be taken seriously. SpaceX is essentially the largest neocloud (with hyperscaler aspirations)… so naturally he wants/needs other neoclouds to struggle with financing so he can swoop in and steal their demand/customers and/or he wants to buy their land/power thus fast tracking his capacity expansion plans at $SPCX otherwise it’s going to be very hard for him to hit 20GW in the next 2 years.
