As someone from Morocco, NO, we do not all start at the same place.
For example, In Morocco people are limited to $2,000 per year for all online foreign payments (dotation e-commerce). Once you hit that, your card stops working for tools, SaaS, ads, hosting, etc. for the rest of the year. (Yes a YEAR)
Also, a Moroccan passport makes attending events or traveling much harder, many countries require visas that are difficult, expensive, or slow to get. So opportunities that others take for granted are often out of reach.
Also as someone who got successful with many projects, luck always plays a role in it (tawfiq minallah). But you still need to work hard.

He also admitted that his Moroccan nationality influenced his decision:
