Conservatives don't want to admit it because it feels like conceding liberals were right, but clearly many are finding America too competitive. So they keep finding increasingly convoluted ways to say 'I need a break from capitalism' without actually saying it.

We need industrial development in this country not these malls that are popping up everywhere creating a few retail jobs.
Citizens can build infrastructure? 🤔@LaviniaEngel
This is such a huge moral boost: 120 volunteers, zero employees, are building a railway from more or less scratch, learning as they go, financed by the income of a cafe: "North Dorset Railway: The volunteers rebuilding a lost train line." bbc.com/news/articles/cewxnn…

Just finished reading this:
In just six (6)days I’ve finished this book, a true definition of unputdownable. What can one say of a book such as this one, where the writer drops bombs after bombs in his quest to state his side of the story regarding some of the controversial clients he has represented. If you have been wondering where the radical and emotive views of Adv Sikhakhane comes from, well this book will give you the answer. From humble beginnings in rural KZN to his university days as a student activist where he fought against the system, to his first job as a teacher where he was an activist educator, filling his students with political consciousness and countering the inferior education manufactured for the black child, to his dramatic survival from the IFP mob that wanted to kill him, to Chri Hani advising him to get educated and prepare for a democratic South Africa to his admission as an advocate and the onslaught he has suffered as a result of his convictions and clients he represented, the book is explosive. Unapologetic, Adv Sikhakhane does not spare his adversaries in this work, he cuts through the hypocrisy in the profession and heavily criticizes the judiciary for what he views as biasness in some of the political cases it has to adjudicate upon involving former President Jacob Zuma. The reader will either love him or hate him, there will be no one in the middle. The reader will find his chronicles gospel truth or anathema. No one will be on the fence. Whatever you feel about the man or his book, this is his version, strong, uncompromising and devastating. The author is likely going to face a lot of animosity as a result of the feelings he expresses about a lot of individuals but he seems very prepared to for what is coming. There’s no diplomacy here, just hard facts. Subjects mentioned are either on the sharp edge of his pen or his graces. Indeed, it’s a tail of “devils with halos and angels with horns. The book is not for the faint-hearted. Some will find it inspiring, some will be disheartened, no matter what emotions are evoked, this book will cause the country to speak and maybe reflect on some of the popular narratives out there

Konakele. A mini-war.
110 women have been murdered in KZN since the start of October, until a week ago.
That’s according to police minister Senzo Mchunu, speaking at a police funeral.
64 of those women were shot and killed, 24 were stabbed to death, 15 were beaten to death, 4 suffered blunt force trauma while 3 others were burned to death.
The majority were killed by people known to them. @eNCA
