Yesterday, I visited De Jong. The Dutch Automotive Car Dealer who has a farm, a garage and a home in one place. A very kind man, he invited me to visit his farm regularly to stay away from screens.

HR accidentally sent a confidential email to the entire office, and within minutes, everyone knew something management had been trying to keep secret for months.
The email was titled: “STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL – DO NOT FORWARD.”
Unfortunately, it was sent to the company’s entire mailing list.
At first, most employees assumed it was an ordinary administrative mistake. Then someone opened the attachment.
It was a spreadsheet containing employees’ salaries, annual bonuses, planned promotions, and management’s proposed restructuring.
But that wasn’t the worst part.

I was at my friends’ place, and their son grabbed my phone off the table and cracked the screen.
I asked them to pay for the repair. My friend said, “You’re an adult. You could just forgive a kid.”
I didn’t yell at the kid. But the screen costs $300, and someone has to pay for it.
My friend sent the money with the note: “We won’t bother you again.”
I took the money.
