Someone is trying hard to encourage a flight from gold and silver...

And a batshit crazy President that doesn't give a damn about those Rules of Law. I'll take national custody any day.
Jamie Dimon to a country that pulled its gold out of New York: you have three armies within 400 miles, while gold in America is protected by two oceans and the US military “If we have the strongest military in the world and the strongest economy in the world, we will be the preeminent reserve currency. It is those two things.” “I was in a country somewhere in the Middle East, and also in Europe, and the people said, we took our gold out of the vaults in New York City and moved it to our country. You know what I said to him? I said, you have three armies within 400 miles who can come take your gold.” “That’s the real world. You’re not thinking clearly about safety. That gold is protected by the Atlantic, the Pacific, the United States military, the rule of law.” “But if we are not the preeminent military and economy, you will see our reserve status come down.”

Tokenisation adds liquidity. No technology gives full security. Vaults do. The custodian matters. I'd prefer China over America.
🚨THE WEST MAY HAVE ONE LAST MONETARY TRUMP CARD AGAINST CHINA. AND IT ISN’T BITCOIN. BEIJING IS ACCUMULATING GOLD. WESTERN FINANCE IS TOKENIZING EVERYTHING. $XRP SITS AT THE CENTER OF A MUCH BIGGER QUESTION. China’s central bank has announced plans to open its domestic interbank foreign exchange market to selected overseas RMB clearing banks. Its gold accumulation streak has reached 23 consecutive months. Hong Kong has activated a new gold clearing infrastructure connected to Shanghai, while China’s holdings of U.S. Treasuries have fallen to levels not seen since 2008. Meanwhile, BRICS nations are pursuing alternative cross-border payment arrangements, and President Xi Jinping has declared that China’s upcoming BRICS presidency will usher in a THIRD GOLDEN DECADE. These are not isolated developments. They represent an increasingly coordinated challenge to the dollar-centric financial architecture that has underpinned Western economic influence for generations. But here is where things become considerably more interesting. What if the Western world’s greatest financial defence is an entirely new settlement architecture? Enter Ripple, $XRP and the XRP Ledger. A neutral digital bridge asset, interoperable settlement infrastructure and a rapidly developing ecosystem of tokenized real-world assets offer a fundamentally different response to China’s ambitions. And while China builds out its physical gold settlement infrastructure, TOKENIZED GOLD IS ALREADY LIVE ON THE XRP LEDGER. Assetiko’s XAUa, representing tokenized gold, is already issued on XRPL, with trading accessible through native platforms such as Xaman Swap, @Trensik_com and other XRPL trading interfaces. But there is another development that deserves far more attention than it is receiving. 🧬 DNA Protocol and $XDNA. As governments, financial institutions and regulators confront the challenges of digital identity, privacy, compliance and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, DNA Protocol (@DNAOnChain) is developing a zero-knowledge identity architecture on XRPL. The premise is extraordinarily important: the ability to verify credentials and satisfy defined requirements without unnecessarily exposing the underlying private information. Could this emerging identity infrastructure eventually become part of the Western financial system’s defence against a fragmented, increasingly adversarial global monetary order? Consider the potential architecture. Gold as collateral. XRP as bridge liquidity. XRPL as the settlement network. Zero-knowledge identity as the compliance and privacy layer. XDNA as application-level utility component. The implications are enormous, even if institutional adoption remains an open question. @LordBelgrave has warned about the emergence of a new monetary order. The developments unfolding across central banking, precious metals and digital settlement networks make those warnings increasingly difficult to dismiss. China is preparing for a world in which international commerce depends less on the U.S. dollar. The West will need an answer that preserves liquidity, financial sovereignty, institutional trust and secure access to global markets. Perhaps the greatest irony of this monetary confrontation is that the strongest defence may ultimately be a neutral financial network that neither East nor West can unilaterally control. The battle for the next monetary order will not be decided by who prints the most currency. It will be decided by who controls the infrastructure through which the world’s value moves. And that battle is already underway. 🧬

This is an incredible video. Deep down, we’ve always known this. Qatari officials ADMITTED that America forces the Arab nations to spend their money on useless projects and lavish sports tournaments. Arab money is held in US banks, and the Arabs have to ask permission from the Americans whenever they wish to withdraw and spend their own money. They’re like a 16-year-old kid asking their Dad for permission to use his credit card. If an Arab ruler wanted to spend his billions on new factories, shipyards, and new strategic industrial projects, America would refuse to give him permission. But if the Arab ruler wanted to spend his billions on new music concerts, tennis tournaments, and luxurious hotels, then America would give him permission to spend the money. America doesn’t want you to be strategically independent of them, because they would lose their leverage and control over you. They want these small, divided, and weak Arab states to be dependent on the US forever. America uses modern industry and comfort to hold you hostage. These golden handcuffs ensure that you will never defy the Americans. Your electrical grid, antibiotics, refrigerators, and machinery are all dependent on US supply chains. If you dare defy America, they will shut off your imports and your people will starve. It’s not like the people in Riyadh and Doha know how to farm. They live in skyscrapers and they buy their food from local grocery stores which rely on modern equipment and global imports. Breaking this cycle of dependence relies on breaking the very supply chains which keep millions of people fed and housed. In a perverse way, being developed makes you more dependent. That’s why nations like Afghanistan and Yemen are more able to defy America, simply because they’re less developed and less reliant on imports. @anasaltikriti was being interviewed by @DillyHussain88 on this issue.

🚨 BREAKING 🇺🇸 8 OUT OF 12 FOMC MEMBERS SUPPORT AN EMERGENCY 50 BPS RATE HIKE NEXT WEEK. THE FED IS NOW COMPLETELY TRAPPED BETWEEN RISING INFLATION, SURGING YIELDS, AND GROWING FEARS OF THE AI BUBBLE COLLAPSE. THIS IS NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR THE MARKETS...
🚨 WARNING: A BIG STORM IS COMING Record stock prices. AI mania. Tightening liquidity. Rising inflation. Collapsing bond markets. We’ve seen this EXACT bubble 3 times before. Different century. Different technology. Same warning signs. The most dangerous crashes begin when nobody believes they’re possible. Keep in mind: I’ve spent 10+ years studying markets and calling major tops and bottoms. My next call will be posted here first. Follow and turn on notifications before it’s too late. Don’t become exit liquidity.

BREAKING: Central banks around the world are now quietly stockpiling 4 times as much gold as usual and moving it out of the US, per Goldman Sachs, amid senior officials warning that the gold is "no longer safe" in Trump’s hands. Purchases hit 79 tonnes in August against a pre-2022 average of 17, while holdings at the New York Fed fell 40 tonnes and holdings at the Bank of England rose 46. China was the largest buyer at 25 tonnes, aimed at rapidly diversifying away from the US dollar and G7 currencies. On the storage side, Netherlands moved 86 tonnes out of New York and Ottawa, citing "increasing geopolitical unrest." France sold 129 tonnes in New York and bought gold in Europe instead.

Hugh, China printed to save the global economy (and its export markets) and it has a large and growing trade surplus. America is GOING to print because no one wants its debt and there is a lot to roll over. It has a massive and growing trade deficit. Still want USDs?
a reader called dunn. hold that thought. he says china's gold is no rounding error. revalue it to $20k and it matters, he says. fine. let's do his sum. 77.5m oz at $20k is $1.6trn. against $53trn of chinese m2. that's 2.9% backing. now revalue america's gold to $20k. the dollar's backing jumps from 4.6% to 22%. more than seven times china's. and yet mr dunn isn't swapping his gold for dollars. still a rounding error, mr dunn. now the name. dunce isn't old english. it's scottish. john duns scotus, 13th century, from duns in the borders. his followers split hairs for a living. 16th century humanists called them fools. the dunsmen became the dunces. nomen est omen.

I'd swap my Yuan for gold 😁
so here's the benchmark, for everyone: would you swap your gold for yuan, or for olivier's cheap high-yield chinese equities? everything else is candyfloss.

And fighting isn't going to help much!
Oil is already approaching the $120 per barrel mark. Trump has only two options: to fight or to surrender. There is no third way.

Not with China holding c 70k of gold (public and private) and Central Banks realising that Government Bonds are no longer risk free collateral. If you raise the price of Gold to $20k suddenly it goes from a rounding error to something a little more significant. 🧵
this is the chart. china printed its way past america and nobody noticed. the gold backing is a rounding error.

All you need is liquidity and when the Hong Kong end of the SHFE goes live in Q1/27 that need will start being met. Tokenisation will no doubt play a significant part.

Gold and silver selling off because US Interest rates are rising so the story goes. Ask yourself why rates are rising. It's because investors are selling bonds. The returns although getting higher, will not compensate for much higher inflation.🧵 youtu.be/s8TgdAyWw4g?is=gjJp…

Liquidity providers are starting to front run 1st Quarter 2027 - the start of live gold trading at the SHFE ex Hong Kong. When the BIS admitted gold as Tier 1 Bank asset in 7/25 gold was trading at $3.1k. It rose $2k over the next year. 🧵

The value of money comes through TRUST and Trump has completely blown that apart with the USD. America is not on a course of improvement, it is accelerating downhill towards extinction. Other Sovereigns are not going to follow. There is no alternative other than gold.

No they want to make the supply of Bitcoin infinite, just like they did with gold and silver. Anyone pinning their hopes of untold wealth on BTC is in for a sad disappointment. It's price will be whatever the banksters say it is!
BlackRock just filed for a bitcoin ETF that holds IBIT call options and bonds instead of bitcoin. wall street wants to sell you bitcoin with training wheels lol
