SDH Sopore successfully performed two complex forearm fracture surgeries, including a challenging Galeazzi fracture-dislocation, under my supervision. Reflects our commitment to strengthening specialized orthopaedic and trauma care at the district level.
National & District-level launch of JOSH (Joint Squad for Health Teams) under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, along with felicitation of TB Mukt Panchayats was held today in District Baramulla.
A New Milestone at CHC Pattan
Dialysis services have commenced at CHC Pattan, bringing essential renal care closer to patients and reducing long-distance travel.
The service was made possible with the support of @DCBaramulla @NHMJK5 ,@DHSKashmir , @cmobaramulla, @BMOPattan.
Alongwith DNO NHM and PM Child Health chaired a virtual meeting with all BMOs & BPMUs to review the progress of National Health Programmes. Focus was on strengthening implementation, addressing gaps and ensuring timely achievement of targets. DPMU Baramulla also attended.
Follow-up camp for old & newly diagnosed leprosy patients and healthy contacts held at PHC Boniyar under my supervision,in collaboration with GMC Baramulla & BMO Boniyar. Patients re-examined, contacts sensitized, SDR prophylaxis administered and self-care kits distributed.

A complex trauma case involving tibia, both-bone forearm and patella fractures was successfully operated at SDH Sopore under PMJAY.
Appreciation to the whole team for their dedication and expertise.

SDM Uri today visited remote Chorkhud Dhok in Boniyar Tehsil, where a medical camp was organised under the Vibrant Village Programme for TB screening and other health check-ups. Doctors & health staff from PHC Boniyar, along with CMO, BMO Boniyar & BMO Tangmarg, provided essential healthcare services.
The SDM also visited the seasonal school, interacted with students & teachers, and met local villagers to understand their issues and requirements. He appreciated the PHC Boniyar team for taking healthcare services to this remote seasonal Dhok.

Today inspected the healthcare arrangements for the 10th Muharram processions in Medical Block Pattan alongwith BMO Pattan. Reviewed the deployment of medical teams, ambulances and emergency medicines. Emphasized on prompt and efficient medical response during the events.
All parents and guardians are requested to bring their children aged 0–5 years to the nearest Pulse Polio booth and ensure that they receive the two drops of life. Your cooperation is essential in keeping our children healthy and achieving a polio-free future.

In view of fire safety week, fire safety mock drills were successfully conducted at SDH Uri and SDH Sopore in collaboration with Fire Safety Department The exercise aimed at strengthening emergency response and enhancing preparedness among healthcare staff.
Mega awareness programme #100daysNashaMuktBharatAbhiyaan held at Degree College Uri today. Interacted with public on the ill effects of drug abuse.
Administered a pledge also , with all participants committing to stay away from drugs and contribute towards a drug-free society.
A mega plantation drive was successfully conducted across all medical blocks of District,with a total of 240 saplings planted 🌱
Inaugurated the drive at CMO Office & ANMT School, followed by active participation from all BMOs across their respective jurisdictions.
