someone who lost $3m just sent this message to the hacker... always remember about safety in crypto, never share your seed phrase with anyone and don't click links you don't trust

Replying to @drakefjustin
This is a big deal, but the problem is - rotating to a new address everytime a tx is signed is a nightmare for operations - even if some other acc got cracked, it means the end of crypto, your assets in your bunker mode will worth nothing. - attacker might not touch satoshi's wallet at all but stealing from medium to small wallet as a cover up. We need more information and better solution @drakefjustin.

Defi risk spreads to tradfi through crypto cards. Make sure you cover your self if you defi.
Post mortem for the September 24th, 2026 exploit of Payy's bridge contract. Based on our investigation, it appears that an attacker submitted an invalid burn proof that Payy’s deployed Noir/Barretenberg verifier accepted. The first burn released 1,828,589.378132 USDC from the Payy rollup even though it appears that the transaction was invalid. A second burn of 1 USDC was paid early by a burn substitutor and later reimbursed. The second transaction released 90,202.820016 USDC to the same receiving wallet. It appears there was a proving-system vulnerability in the Noir/Barretenberg verifier, developed by Aztec. Full report: polybase.notion.site/Payy-US…

With public adoption increasing, we will see more wrench attacks, this is almost unavoidable with the current crypto setup where bad actors walk away with little consequences. We need to make crypto safer without sacrificing decentralisation.
The @BBCNews reports that a #reward of up to £10,000 is being offered for information after a young couple were attacked in their home and forced to transfer a substantial amount of #cryptocurrency. The husband suffered significant injuries, and his pregnant wife was threatened with a knife. Police believe the attack may have been planned and targeted. The case comes just one day after we shared @Gart_io's latest report on physical attacks involving #crypto. Across the 305 cases examined, at least 47.2% involved confirmed violence or torture. It is a difficult reminder of the human consequences behind these crimes. If you have information that could help, contact @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through its website. The reward applies to information given exclusively to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. CryptoUK has been raising awareness of this risk for some time. Our webinar with the @metpoliceuk — The Wrench Attack Phenomenon: Are High Value Asset Crypto Users Being Targeted? — a link for which you can find below, explored the physical-security risks facing crypto holders and the threat posed by coercion. Please stay vigilant and protect your personal information. 🔹 Read the full BBC report: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c60q… 🔹 Read the Gart report: gart.io/stats 🔹 Watch our Metropolitan Police webinar: youtu.be/7IlNxs2FBV0

With tradfi coming onchain, there might be a lot of hacks happening. We need a native web3 protection mechanism for end users.
Today at 4:21 UTC Payy’s bridge contract on Ethereum was exploited and drained of its full balance. Investigation is ongoing and we are following incident response guidelines. While we investigate, all Payy Network transactions are paused including deposits, withdrawals, transfers and card transactions. We will continue to communicate updates here.

I have been DEEP down the Ethereum Security rabbit hole for a long time now... And I have some thoughts.... #6 is the most important #1 We spend too much $$ on security in our industry #2 We don't coordinate on shared security enough #3 We don't listen to the white hats nearly enough #4 We don't listen to the victims nearly enough #5 We don't invest in prevention nearly enough #6 We don't invest in SAFETY nearly enough I'm lucky to be put in a position to address these issues with @thedaofund
"Ethereum is super secure but its not safe" 10 years after The DAO changed Ethereum forever, Griff Green is building The DAO Fund. 75,000 ETH remained untouched for years. Now its staking yield is now funding public goods for Ethereum security. We cover: - The inside story of The DAO & its recovery - How @thedaofund is funding Ethereum security - Quadratic funding, grants & public goods - Why phishing remains Ethereum's biggest waekness - Can Ethereum become safer than banks @griffgreen certainly thinks so.

Our third-party e-mail provider has been breached. Please be aware that the email named ‘Critical Security Alert: STM32 Entropy Vulnerability’ is not coming from us, and it’s a phishing attempt. Do not click on any link. We have taken down the domain, and we are investigating the situation, including how the hackers got access to our legit domain.

We simulated the recent @Balancer V1 hack. 28 victims held USDC in the prior 30 days. If it were USD8, a small $330k cover pool would reimburse all 28 eligible victims up to 80% of their loss. DeFi needs recovery, not just postmortems. Watch this space.

With the fast growing of AI capabilities, we need more defi protections and insurances.
#PeckShieldAlert n August 2026, the crypto industry experienced 50 major hacks (+67% from July's 30 hacks), resulting in total losses of $136.3M - a 49.5% month-over-month decrease from July's $270M. The Tectonic.cro incident, which resulted in ~$74M in losses, was the 4th-largest crypto theft of the year to date, behind the #Drift, #KelpDAO/#LayerZero, and @COLDCARDwallet exploits. The exploiter managed to bridge out only ~$6M to #Ethereum before Cronos paused the entire chain, leaving the remaining funds mainly stuck on Cronos. The exploiter has since started laundering the stolen funds, bridging them to #BTC (~200K so far) #Top hacks: TectonicFi: $74M Moonwell: $8.7M Termlabs: $8.5M Coinsbuy: $7.9M TAC: $7.5M Injective: $4.8M MANTRA: $3.6M BounceBit: $3M Cosmos Labs: $2.87M aquifer: $2.47M
