Spoke with Erick All Jr. at his locker postgame. Had street clothes on but no brace. Was standing and smiling. Said he’ll know more Monday but he’s hoping and praying for encouraging news.

All Shanahan’s saying is that if the odds are that close, he leans on his 20+ years of play-calling and coaching experience to help aid his decision.
What’s wrong with that?

All coaches want to win, but Jerrod Calhoun is especially ready to put Cincinnati hoops back in the spotlight.

He’s not kidding on @GoBearcatsMBB being the most feared Program in the Country at one point. When Bob Huggins was there and you beat them it was like winning twice. Beating the Team and beating the Mystique which was built on toughness. @CoachCalhoun_UC is really, really good.

Ed O confirming what I have said all along on Burrow and UC. Joe had committed to Fickell and told them he was just going to LSU as a courtesy to his dad who had a connection on the LSU staff.
Orgeron legit wouldn't let him leave Baton Rouge until he committed.
Ed Orgeron reveals he told Joe Burrow in a restaurant parking lot on his recruiting visit that LSU would fire him if he didn’t get him to commit, and says he told him if he did come he would win a National Championship
“Joe comes on a visit. Now Joe was going to Cincinnati. Joe’s girlfriend was going to Cincinnati. Joe’s daddy coached about an hour away from there. So Joe comes on a visit with his mom and daddy. Great people.”
“The first thing he tells me, ‘Coach, I don’t want to talk to you.’ He goes, ‘Coach, I know you’re a great recruiter. All I want to do is talk football and eat crawfish.’ Next day, we had a football meeting. There’s about 12 of us there.”
“It took me five minutes to figure out, remember what Jimmy Johnson taught me? Smart quarterback. Joe was the smartest guy in the room, including me, including all the coaches. So anyway, in any good sales, there’s always a crack in the door. But you got to sense that crack. You got to seize it. If the crack’s not there, wait.”
“I went up to him and I said, ‘Joe, I want to talk to you.’ He went, ‘Yes, sir.’ I knew it. So I took him outside. This might have been the most important talk I ever had in all my life. I said, ‘Joe, if you tell anybody about this conversation, it never happened.’”
“‘Joe, I don’t get you, they’re going to fire me. I get you, we’re going to win the national championship. That’s how important you are to me.’ They’re going to fire me if you don't come here but if you do, we're going to win it all.”

I just couldn't be more impressed with Bengals EDGE Cashius Howell.
He is exactly the type of EDGE rusher that DL needed this offseason.

It shouldn’t get lost in picking apart everything the Texans did wrong that Cincinnati deserves a ton of credit too.
That Bengals defense looked legit. Their interior DL was dominant, the pass rush was overwhelming and the coverage held up extremely well behind it. Whatever you think of Houston’s OL, Cincinnati’s front deserves credit for completely taking over the game and making the offense one dimensional.
That defense looks a hell of a lot better than many expected coming into the season.
And offensively when Cin needed plays, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins made them.
Plenty for Houston to fix, but plenty of credit due to the Bengals too.
