We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

i highly recommend that everyone INSTEAD checks out Pokemon Epsilon Emerald created by merrp when it releases this month. it's an AI-FREE rom hack that combines many features and story additions found in ORAS to the Gen 3 engine, and plenty of customization options too!
persona fans would HATE P2 and P4
Replying to @puppycelebrity
its just really disappointing to me that everything is becoming standardized in this p5 style

So lets clarify something. Pokemon or not, 99.99% of all devs/software engineers are using AI to code. That is simply the norm, if you work professionally it is required
Using AI to develop is not inherently bad or good. The issue is before it was a barrier of entry that made it so anyone who wanted to create a project needed to invest a lot of time learning that naturally leads to them caring and making a better product
Now that barrier is removed and anyone can make a ROM hack or app etc. All that means is you need to filter the slop more frequently than you had to before
The best ROM hacks going forward WILL use AI (not talking about generative assets, just code). But they will also be made my people who care just like the best hacks from before

The VGC meta right now is OK but some of the top mons' designs are starting to feel a little dated. Think of Rillaboom for example, he's just some gorilla that's strong, belongs in Gen 1. Spice him up with traits like being smart, using a bubble shield, and having a tesla cannon

No matter how much some of y’all like to claim Mamdani used Palestine to get elected, he didn’t. Mamdani campaigned on affordability and won on that, not Palestine. He famously went viral and saw his poll numbers surge when he said during a mayoral debate that he would stay focused on NYC. The media was obsessed with his views on Israel because of his past advocacy and repeatedly questioned him about it because they thought it would hurt him in a place like NYC, which has a large Jewish population. Even the Netanyahu thing, when he said he wouldn’t make up his own laws but would explore every legal avenue to pursue accountability, came up in response to an interview question, not as part of his platform. Were there people who supported and voted for him because of his views on the conflict? Absolutely, but that’s not what his campaign was built around.

everyone should know there is no morality in neutrality. being apolitical is simply not a thing and it always functions as alignment with the oppressor. As infuriating as it is, it's also incredibly depressing. Beyond stupidity it represents such great apathy and social failure
