Why did @amazon charge me for digital orders I never ordered? Why can't Amazon tell me what digital order it was for? More importantly, why was my call outsourced to someone far away--who has no idea what a "digital order" is?👎

Yes, when I am ready to fly in the next few months I want to know what to do if this happens to me. ✈️
@AmericanAir If this account is accurate, a paid upgrade that didn't deliver the seat space, repeated unwanted touching, and no discreet way to alert the crew all need answers. What is your in-flight process for reporting this, and will you review this flight?

Exactly...why not discipline just the students who abuse the rule?
I support the notion that no child should be using a cell phone during school periods. But this is the wrong way to go about it. It’s teaching kids they have no agency or control over their use of the tech. How about a simple rule that the kids won’t use the phones during class- if they do, they lose the phone to the school. No warnings. After the first few kids go home without their phones, they will all learn the joy of self-discipline.

We should be teaching students the appropriate times to use the device instead of punishing them before they used it.
Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools just spent $150,000 on dedicated lockers to enforce the state’s new “bell to bell” cell phone ban. Every student’s phone gets collected and locked away from the first bell to the last - no exceptions, not even for lunch or passing periods. And here’s the part that’s got parents on edge: the district’s own policy admits there’s no emergency exception. If something goes wrong during the day, your kid can’t just text you - you’re relying on the school’s alert system to notify you instead.

This is a final cry for help, so I hope and pray that President Trump sees this. I know it sounds crazy, Mr. President, but the number one reason why reading and math scores continue their decline is because classroom instruction is not evidence-based. The reason why instruction isn’t evidence-based is that part is excluded from most government-run preservice Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs). Therefore, most of the current teaching workforce lacks the capacity to teach most of America’s children how to read and do mathematics at the most basic level—i.e., grade level proficiency standards. Data released in today’s 2024 Nation’s Report Card supports my statement (nationsreportcard.gov/). Add to that the plethora of anecdotal evidence from teachers who have been saying for years that EPPs do not provide credentialing or practical training in evidence-based instruction, which means teachers enter classrooms unprepared to teach reading and math effectively, leaving both educators and students at a disadvantage. #NAEP “To deny literacy to any people is one of the greatest crimes against human nature. It is to deny them the means of freedom and the rightful pursuit of happiness, and to defeat the very end of their being.” ~Frederick Douglass

If Americans truly cared about billions in taxpayer waste, fraud, and abuse, they'd demand accountability for the epic failures in public school Special Education services—where chronically noncompliant local school districts routinely violate federal civil rights laws (IDEA & Section 504) by restraining and secluding vulnerable children, often causing trauma or worse. This isn't rare: Despite federal warnings in toothless 'Dear Colleague' Letters, thousands of incidents occur yearly, disproportionately hitting kids with learning difficulties. GAO reports document deaths and abuse. Yet funding flows unchecked. Shocking? Only if you're unaware it's standard operating procedure. Wake up, America! #FAPEdenied #EndRestraintSeclusion @POTUS @realDonaldTrump @EDSecMcMahon @AAGDhillon
NEW: Investigation launched after a wooden box was found in the corner of a New York elementary school classroom, allegedly used to lock special needs kids inside. The investigation was launched after photos of the box began circulating on Facebook. "I’m so sick of the sh*t that is allowed to happen at the St. Regis Mohawk school UNDER the so-called leadership of Allison Benedict," local Chrissy Jacobs said on Facebook. "This 'box' was built for special needs students. This is sick! ... These children do not deserve to be traumatized while y'all are being paid to educate and protect them!" Gov. Kathy Hochul has since responded to the allegations, saying they raise "serious questions regarding the safety of children," calling for the Education Department to investigate. "These allegations are alarming and entirely unacceptable," she said. Infuriating, if true.
