Every rivals character has pre programmed intended interactions that really kill the flow of discovery. Also every rivals character seems to have a few passives that aren’t said anywhere?
It just feels less intuitive

Here’s my take as to why I don’t like the rivals character moveset designs:
In smash the characters have simple moves that happen to interact with each other in fun ways because they’re so unique but simple (like a sandbox game)

I think it's time we admit that a cashier trying to make the smallest of conversation isn't the rude one but the customer assuming the worst about them and (and sometimes being rude "in return") is actually the antisocial one.
Maybe it's just a midwestern thing, but can we please stop having the cashiers ask intrusive questions to the patrons as they check out?
Cashier: "Do you have any big plans for the rest of the evening?"
Me in my head because I'm polite:
"I don't know you, I'm not sharing my plans for the rest of the evening with you, but I bet you could make an educated guess what my big plans are based on my purchase of ice cream and a bottle of wine."
Me in real life: "Nope, no big plans."
