Gears of War E-Day Campaign Quick Review
What I Liked:
+ Story leans into the desperate position that the Locusts put humanity into and how badly it ended for most of mankind.
+ Adds to Marcus and Dom's story instead of gutting it.
+ A bigger Horror focus with an emphasis on trying to survive to fight another day as opposed to winning the overall war.
+ Interesting range of characters both new and old.
+ Really enjoyed the world leaning into a more open conflict instead of the small scale missions the other Gears of War titles fell into.
+ Weapons and the mods you can unlock feel weighty when needed. New weapons feel unique enough to make themselves stand out among the classics.
+ New bosses and enemy types were a nice change of pace to the standard Locust we've seen a hundred times.
What I Wasn't A Fan Of:
- Some of the 'open world' sections felt like filler. Didn't hate them but they weren't my favorite either.
Overall 9.5/10
Not my favorite Gears of War, but one that is definitely worthy of standing among the original trilogy.
I am officially at the point of no return in Phantom Blade Zero. My playtime is at 26 hours so far.
What's the general consensus?
Am I right on track time wise or going too fast?

It seems my favorite boss in Phantom Blade Zero has already been one upped cause wow.
I mean just look at the finisher for this fight.
Boss fights just keep getting more better by the minute.
If this version of Yubi is just the puppet I don't even want to know how she fights in her own body my goodness.

This might just be my favorite fight so far in PB0. It just screams creativity and doesn't take itself too seriously while giving you an awesome backdrop.

That Cyberpunk 2077 replay is calling to me like the Green Goblin mask make it stop.
Soulkiller is extremely depressing, but I love that Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't play the trick of blurring the lines between AI and real human conscienceness.
The program is entirely honest about what it does to you. For the person sitting in the chair when Soulkiller activates, the light simply goes dark permanently. All that's left is a ghost in the machine that believes it is the person.
The ultimate expression of the darkness of transhumanism.
