I'm working on Relationship-based education and listening to Dr.D Tanter. New learning: direct teaching of social skills doesn't work. Kids need to be coached in real time. #relationshipsfirst

I'm working on my first twenty days of back to school inspired by @jennchamberland and "No More I'm Done." I'm done with being worried about handouts being pretty. TY Jen for the simple 20day planner and TY for encouraging just plan-old-paper for writing. My wallet says TY too.
Thank you @jennchamberland and @ETFOeducators for a fabulous 3 days of learning. The course "Differences that make the Difference" has got me really thinking about the up coming school year. Thank you!

Well, this is concerning: Rising COVID-19 cases in northern Ontario schools raise concerns as reopenings set for Monday thestar.com/news/gta/2021/01…
Let’s get back to school. Especially for the little ones. A friend pointed out that daycares are open. So why not kinder? But we need to reduce class size. How about half time. We ha e the two cohorts ready. This would give parents a break and still keep everyone safer, no? – at London, Ontario
Good read but no answers. One study says schools can reopen with safety measures. Umm... when can we be honest and say that those safety measures were barely in place to begin with? Ok we had/have masks. But mostly physical distancing is impossible. Think eating times and recess. – at London, Ontario
