If your pastor doesn’t talk about the new taylor swift album this Sunday then you need to find a new church.

I wonder how it feels to be a Haitian kid showing up to school in Springfield, OH today. Rumors are not victimless.

What if we saved every unborn baby, but at the cost of our gospel witness. If none come to Christ, how many did you save? *A question I got to pose to a conservative Pastors Conference.

While we debate the Olympic boxing situation, I can't help but think of how Imane Khelif is doing. Our ill-informed outrage cycles are not victimless crimes. #Olympics2024Paris

Right now you can be a person who tries to help calm things down or a person who tries to make things worse. We all have agency here.

“you’re not really pro-life unless you’re pro-death” perfectly sums up the pro-life movement

This is why so many of us no longer trust the institutions (political and religious) and leaders/public figures who shaped us as kids. We remember the 90s and we remember what you said.

“No one should bomb children” is only controversial within a Christianity that has completely bowed its knees to empire.

Don’t lose track of the Sermon on the Mount. Just don’t lose track of it. Don’t let it start sounding unfamiliar to what you mean by Christianity and how you try to conduct your life. Come back.

Notice how it’s always the few Bible passages on human sexuality that are demanded to influence national laws but never the +2,000 passages talking about wealth, debt cancellation, establishing a generous economy, and redistribution of wealth for the sake of the poor.

How to be a better pastor in 3 simple steps. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t be afraid to admit when your wrong. Don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t know.”

In 1784 Wesley removed “to obey” from the wedding vowels. In 1786 John Wesley preached that the idea that “women are only to be seen but not heard’” makes women think “they were only designed for agreeable playthings!” And “it is the deepest unkindness; it is horrid cruelty;”

We need to become the kind of church where, if an adult man says that they find a 12-year-old’s developing body to be a stumbling block-- we stop handing the 12-year-old a sweater, and we start freaking out at the adult man.

@PostliberalTho1 , thank you for this monster quote: "Liberalism and socialism, individualism and collectivism, are, therefore, two sides of the same coin—a coin brought into being by replacing structures of solidarity with structures of self-interest."

If God inspired the Bible and it has multiple books (Psalms, Habakkuk, etc.) filled with people questioning God, then maybe questioning God isn’t sinful. Maybe authentically voicing our questions/doubts is exactly what God wants us to do. Maybe God is big enough to handle it.
