Know your target and what’s beyond. By this point you should know enough about ballistics to predict where a projectile will go if fired at this step. Don’t point at drywall which has any chance whatsoever of anyone being on the other side. “But ‘know your target and what’s beyond’!” you cry with pedantic malice. Yes, that’s why you don’t point it anywhere that may result in overpenetration, ricochet, fragmentation, etc that could subsequently enter another human or anything else you do not INTEND to destroy. 4.
