I don't see how anyone can watch this video and think this is an acceptable way for police officers to treat people. The unnecessary force, language, and especially a male officer manhandling a woman. All of it needs to be questioned, Hello @min_mohst The people of @MaleCitymv shouldn't have to fear being humiliated or mistreated by the very officers meant to protect us. @PoliceMv

Bookmark THIS The UAE has paid at least €5.7 MILLION to a Swiss intelligence firm to run smear campaigns against Muslims across Europe. The leaked documents exposed by the Abu Dhabi Secrets investigation revealed dossiers on 1,000+ individuals and 400+ organizations in 18 European countries, many branded as Muslim Brotherhood linked. This article says a much wider UAE online network of 330,000 accounts pushing anti Muslim content. And here’s the geopolitical angle: the UAE’s partnership with Israel, their shared hostility toward political Islam, and the overlap between their narratives and Europe’s far right. Israel benefits when Muslim political activism is framed as extremism. The UAE benefits when Muslim civil society is discredited. The far right gets more ammunition to demonize Muslims. Millions spent smearing Muslims. Hundreds of thousands of accounts amplifying the narrative. And a political ecosystem in which Israel’s interests align with the campaign. Now we know where to look when asking who’s paying @realMaalouf and his ilk.

With Fenaka Dheena's case, it appears as though she was just another employee who carries out tasks assigned by superiors without question. She is now having to face prison time for her acquisence to orders. Stresses the point that you should think and question everything. – at Maldives

Mayor of Male’ City, Hon. Adam Azim, participated in The Mayor’s Compass podcast alongside Dr. Bernadia Irawati Tjandradewi, Secretary General of United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC), on the sidelines of the 2026 UCLG ASPAC Council Meeting in Haikou City, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China. During the discussion, Mayor Adam Azim shared Male’ City’s experiences in addressing urban development challenges, including high population density, increasing pressure on development of urban infrastructure and essential public services, and climate resilience. He also highlighted the significance of Male’ City’s first Voluntary Local Review (VLR) in strengthening evidence-based urban planning and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conversation further emphasised the importance of sustainable urban development, resilient supply chains, and international city-to-city cooperation, particularly in addressing the unique challenges faced by small island cities. The Mayor’s Compass is a UCLG ASPAC podcast initiative that provides a platform for city leaders to share experiences and best practices in local governance and sustainable urban development. @adamazim @BernadiaIrawati @uclgaspac @uclg_org

In this MDP internal election, I will vote for candidates who uphold professionalism, accountability, and integrity. Who treat others with respect, even in disagreement, and who refrain from character assassination and defamation. I believe in leaders who are hardworking, productive, and fearless in defending people’s rights without malice or hatred. We need leaders who are firm without being cruel, courageous without being hateful, and principled in both their words and actions. #RiseMDP #MakeMDPGreatAgain.

Talk about royally missing the point. Or should I say Ras-missing-the-point You are implying that the intervention under that government was rushed but yours is “justified” because the “previous guys also did it, and they did it first” Incompetence is incompetence. This bill had legally unnecessary elements and its timing is politically tone deaf to Maldivians sensibilities You messed up! Stop chasing your tail! My guy, please get your fries in the bag!!! 💀💀
The Maldives intervened in The Gambia v. Myanmar on 10 November 2023, under the previous Government. It is in that very declaration, Maldives expressly argued that Article V of the Genocide Convention obliges States to enact domestic legislation criminalising genocide. Yet, the Maldives had not done so. It was not this Government that “jumped into proceedings” making that very argument without first addressing our own laws. On 1 October 2024, this Government intervened in South Africa v. Israel, advancing arguments on States’ obligations to prevent and punish genocide, including direct and public incitement. Both interventions were legally justified. Neither required prior domestic criminalisation. This Government is correcting a legislative failure that has persisted for over four decades. That is not headline-chasing. That is doing our job. The facts are clear. Your understanding of them, evidently, is not.

Let's not talk about ours... Not that a cabinet full of PhDs helped though.. We do have a president with one.. meh But yes what the Serbian students managed to accomplish was amazing! I guess that's what happens when real PhD's are there.
Serbia's must be the most well-read parliament ever, by the way: 160 PhDs in 250 candidates
