I have no experience” is NOT an excuse for a weak resume. We’ve reviewed 1,000+ student resumes. Here’s how to build a powerful resume with ZERO work experience: 🧵 (1/15) #ResumeHelp #StudentResume #CareerAdvice

BEFORE “Worked with customers to solve problems.” AFTER “Resolved 90+ customer issues weekly while maintaining a 96% satisfaction rating.” Same experience. Better evidence.
5
Unpopular opinion: Most people don’t need a longer resume. They need a more specific one.
6
Don’t write: “Responsible for managing a team.” Write: “Led a 12-person team that reduced project delivery time by 28%.” Responsibilities tell employers what you did. Results tell them why it mattered.
4
You can have 5 years of experience and still look unqualified on paper.
5
Weak: Managed social media accounts. Better: Managed 5 social channels, increasing engagement by 43% in 6 months. Same person. Same experience. Completely different signal.

It’s magical 🧙 Try it out!
Most resumes fail before a human even reads them. I built a free Resume Match Checker that compares your resume with a job description and shows the missing keywords. Paste both. Get your score instantly. Try it: CVArchitect.app/resume-check…

If they ask, “Why are you leaving your current employer?” Don’t complain. Don’t blame. Say: “I’ve learned a lot in my current role, but I’m ready for a new challenge where I can grow and contribute at a higher level.” Forward-focused. Not bitter.

Interviewer asks: “What’s your greatest weakness?” You say: “I work too hard.” They write “red flag” on their notepad. Here’s what to actually say (and why the “perfectionism” trick backfires): 🧵

If they ask, “What are your salary expectations?” Don’t anchor low. Don’t blurt a number. Say: “I’m open to discussing a range based on the role’s scope and total package. What budget have you allocated for this position?” Make them anchor first.

Most people walk into salary negotiations with no data. No Glassdoor, no Payscale, nothing. Then they wonder why they get lowballed. The information is free. Do the research, know your worth, and ask for it unapologetically. #SalaryNegotiation #CareerAdvice

Most builders never use their own product. I submitted 12 jobs with CVArchitect this week. Found 3 bugs. Improved the export flow. Understood why users drop off. If you are not your own user, you are flying blind.

We built CVArchitect because we spent 100+ hours applying to jobs and watching our resumes get rejected by ATS. When you build something you've lived, you stop guessing what users need. You know it.
