Not my video, but wanted to post it! This is from the Hancock county fair’s night of destruction🙀
I keep checking the Heisman odds for Aiden Flora,. no odds yet, unfortunately. @ChrisMWilliams
Checked out my last corn root worm trap of the season today. The numbers were all over the board, reminding us that every field tells a different story. I’m hoping this data provides some peace of mind and helps growers build a stronger game plan for the 2027 crop🌽#AgTwitter

Notes on Sulfer from the #ICMConference
Plant-available S in the soil has decreased as much as 80% over the last 25 years
- less mineralization due to reduced tillage
- high yields pull more S out
- using more low-S fertilizers
- getting less than 2lbs/ac from the atmosphere

Before Audi Crooks made a free throw to put Iowa State up four, she was in tears at the free throw line.
The Cy-Hawk game makes Audi think of her late father. She looked to Bill Fennelly, who lost his father the day of a Cy-Hawk game six years ago.
An emotional win for both.

Interesting nuggets on practices that hurt corn yield from #ICMConference today:
Narrow soy residue spread = - $46/ac
Tire tracks = -$26 bu/ac yield hit
Poor ride quality (wet tillage) = -$30/ac
5 day emergence gap= 20% yield loss
These all things that ⬇️ your field average

That’s my QB and my hometown!❤️💛
In the age of NIL for college athletes, @CycloneFB QB @RoccoBecht is using his NIL funds to give back in a special way.
Thanks to the We Will Collective, Becht was able to hold a free football camp for students at Perry High School, a school that dealt with tragedy earlier this year.

"The state of Iowa and our community has given so much love to me and my family and we wanted to find a way to give back. Perry has gone through so much in the past year and this was a small way to show support and provide a fun day for the kids in Perry."
Iowa State QB Rocco Becht will host and fund a free football camp for kids from Perry. Becht is using funds he earned through NIL to make the camp free, including lunch. He is also making a personal donation to Perry Community Schools.
We Will Collective Director Brent Blum says in a press release, “This was entirely Rocco’s idea and we are honored to be able to help him make this a reality".

Rotary Hoe decision??? Do the "poke test" with your index finger. If there is moderate resistance or you can't poke your finger down the seed slot, a corn or soybean plant can't get thru either. If you think you "MAY" have to hoe THEN GO DO IT!.. Don't wait another day to two. With heat and wind things will harden quickly and there will be rapid seedling growth. Make sure you are not snapping soybean hypocotyls.

Soil samples collected from ditches in western MN contained 55 pounds of N (per acre), 13 pounds of P and almost 37 pounds of K. At 2018 fertilizer prices, that’s a loss of almost $35 per acre into the ditch! teapawt.net/SoilLorax/status/17780…
