It seems like the most common uses for AI are theft. Why isn't this being taken seriously? It's going to completely stop people from spending time and money to create something if what they create is immediately stolen.
What does that have to do with AI disclosures? That's the stupidest argument I've heard all day.
The only reason to oppose AI disclosures is because you know people don't want AI slop and it will tank your sales. What does political affiliation have to do with it?
There's a serious problem with YouTube that I think is simple to fix.
My home feed is full content that I have no interest in. I've even started receiving push notifications for channels that I don't follow or haven't watched before. Some are just AI slop. But I don't receive notifications from channels I've explicitly asked for.
The algorithm judges what we want to watch based on signals like how long we've watched a video or what we've moused over and clicked on. Yet they ignore explicit signals that we've given them.
I haven't done the math but I wouldn't be surprised if 80-90% of the channels that I subscribe to are never in my home feed. Even though I've told you YouTube that these specific channels are the ones I want in my home feed.
They think they can guess what we want to watch better than what we've told them we want to watch. The reason this doesn't work is because the algorithm has no way to judge the context that we're in at the time a video is available.
For instance, I love the goon squad. I've been watching them since their first build. But when I'm in my car driving down the road I can't watch a video that requires my visual attention. So I'm obviously not going to click on one.
Instead I'll watch something from the infographic channel because it doesn't necessarily require my visual attention.
When I get home that context completely changes. Then I want to watch something that does require my visual attention and I might not want to watch something that's just a talking head.
But what ends up happening is I'll end up watching a video while I'm working on my car to try to figure out where all the bolts are to a certain thing I'm doing. Then all of a sudden that channel is in my recommendations for weeks. But do you know what channel hasn't been in my recommendation for at least a year or more. The goon squad. One of my favorite channels. I've wondered before if they're making videos still.
Because of this new move with tech companies to trust more in signals they've forgotten about the most important signal of all. The subscribe button. The user telling YouTube exactly what they want to see.
Many will say that I should just use the subscribed tab, and I do. But it's chronological nature makes it less useful. What I end up doing half the time, is just leaving YouTube and watching TV.
I'm convinced that at this point to Pro AI movement is just thieves trying to justify why your property should belong to them. 🙄
AI models only exist do the widespread copyright infringement. But the pro AI movement arrogantly thinks they are better than the people who created the training data that their bots rely on.
Since they're stealing from us, the least they could do is be nice about it. But instead all you get is arrogance and entitlement.
Yep, it doesn't make much sense. What exactly are we being left behind of? Theft, AI slop, and scams? Okay. 🤣😅😂
First Google has their first negative cash flow quarter in their existence and now Meta.
But no, AI is totally not a bubble. 🤣😂😅
BREAKING: $META has posted its first negative Free Cash Flow in more than a decade
The numbers are so ridiculous that I don't understand why we are even arguing about this.
The same ideology that fueled the crypto craze is currently fueling the AI craze. It's relatively untalented people that want to become successful without any work.
What they don't realize, or care about, is the work is still being done. Just not by them. In this instance the work is being stolen from creators.
The very creators that create the content that's ultimately stolen to train AI models are not only disrespected by the "AI Bros" but they're actually hated.
It's because people who actually put in the work are ultimately the ones that are going to be successful. Not the ones that sit around and try to steal the success. So they hate us because of it.
So I guess now the profitability of AI doesn't matter because AI is going to eliminate money.
I guess that makes sense since AI has pretty much eliminated copyrights with their plagiarism machines.
🙄🙄
From now on everyone will just be slaves of the AI industry.
I can't wait for this bubble to pop. I've had enough.
🤣😅😂
Have they asked Claude to design a sustainable business model?

The AI Bros I believe have excepted the fact that AI is a bubble that's going to pop. But their response is that the dot com bubble didn't eliminate the Internet and that's why the AI bubble won't eliminate AI.
But they're forgetting about one simple factor. The internet provided a massive productivity gain. The only productivity gain we get from AI is imaginary.
They're just promises of future productivity gain.
Today the only cash flow positive uses of AI are AI slop on social media and phone scammers.
At this point subscribers and the notification bell are completely worthless on @YouTube, my home feed never has the pages I'm subscribed to on it and I get notifications from channels I'm not even subscribed to let alone have notifications turned on for.
I'm considering just disabling notifications for the YouTube app and I spend most of my time in the subscribed tab just to avoid the abundance of AI slop.
This destroys discovery, because I don't see any new channels and it makes my notifications worthless.
These social media platforms think they can use algorithms to predict what we want to watch better than what we have already chosen to watch. But all it's doing is driving people away from the platforms.
I don't mind algorithms suggesting videos or channels related to what we watch. But the majority of our feed should be channels we've already explicitly stated we want to watch.
