Ha, very unlikely to happen. But 3+ feet of snow is quite the model run for Raleigh. Yikes!

NOTE: Not a forecast ... more like the winter version of #Club384 for North Carolina.
Look at your own amusement.
Remember the mantra.
Are you ready?
Are you sure?
OK .... you were warned.

Good luck, @_lucillesherman with whatever comes next after three years at @axios. Will miss your morning scoops, family updates, recipes, and general observations on all things Raleigh. All the best!
The legend @WesReynolds1 goes out on top with three straight winners on the PGA Tour. Just unreal. Hope there’s a @substack for his golf handicap
Some personal news:
My chapter @VSiNLive has come to a conclusion as we could not come to an agreement on a new contract.
In any business, there are creative differences or disagreements regarding direction. "Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes, nothing remains quite the same".
Six years ago, I moved to Las Vegas with what, at that point, were the shattered remains of my life after I lost my father. I wasn't sure if I could make it but was able to make a life for myself.
A large part of that was that VSiN afforded me a shot. I started as a freelance writer, then as an on-air fill-in, and eventually worked my way into being a regular host five days a week and I will always be grateful to @brianmusburger and @Bill80 for that chance. I was able to do something that I was passionate about and get paid for it. We should all be so fortunate to have that opportunity at some point in our lives.
Despite parting company, I wish the best for @VSiNLive and truly hope for its long-term success.
Nevertheless, it was time for me to go. For those that my ask "what's next?" My answer is that I have no idea, but I'm looking forward to finding out.
In the summer of 2018, I came out to Las Vegas a defeated and broken man who admittedly was a little bit scared. On January 23, 2025, I do not feel that way. Yes, there is plenty of anxiety regarding what happens next, but I am ready for it.
So, we're open for business and new challenges and opportunities!
I'm not finished writing my story. Someone out there is willing to be a co-author of the next chapter of said story. If it's you, or someone you know, feel free to reach out.
