This model of celebrating every exit should be rethought
Most assume that a massive exit equals to a generational wealth creation.
And sometimes it does, but many times founders and the team get "just" a new job after grinding for years and raising millions...
88% of VC-backed founders get $0 at exit.
Wharton + Zurich study of 157k startups and 248k founders (1987–2025).
Not “most startups fail.” Even when the company exits, liquidation preferences and founder churn wipe people out. Top 1% take 79% of everything.
The equity lottery is rigged harder than people admit.
Hands down one of the coolest products I've used!
Kudos to the @joinpeanut team 🥜

went mildly viral on linkedin last week for posting a picture of me handing out a one-pager to a cto explaining why he should hire me… and well, I have some thoughts.
every startup out there says they want people who didn't take the ordinary path, but then their JD says “ex-consulting, PE/VC, or IB preferred.”
i don't have any of them, and it feels impossible to break through these barriers. the job search has completely dismantled my self worth and made me question every single decision I’ve taken.
why didn’t I just do one year of consulting? Instead of moving to Berlin to work for random startups.
why didn’t I choose finance? Instead of jumping around ops roles with undefined tasks.
why didn’t I do an online coding course? Instead of studying data science for two years at 26 y/o.
this is not a pity party. I believe I’ve done difficult things in the last 5 years, taken risks that my peers would never take and had quite a few pinch me moments. i would just like recruiters to see the big pictures instead of focusing on badges and labels.
anyway, still looking.

Every person that moves to SF goes to a bunch of tech events in the first two weeks and realizes it's a complete waste of time.
I am convinced that (for most companies) the healthiest way to run a company is by seedstrapping
The playbook: raise once, nail product + distribution and become profitable
The goal: Be AI-native from day 1, stay small and become a money printing machine that pays every year dividends to founders, team members and investors
Long-term everyone wins and (arguably) you have a higher chance in building generational wealth
Be profitable and run your company with maximal agentic loops
You don’t need to sell more of your co anymore
$10M profit per year reinvested is like an annual Series A no dilution
The best startups do this now. No whinging about the Series A/B crunch.
You don’t need saving.
Series A and Series B are the hardest rounds for founders today.
Founders launch a vertical AI SaaS company. They reach $1M-$3M ARR in 2 years or $5M-$10M in 3-4 years.
They go out to market with their 1x-3x growth. Almost no interest from investors.
If it's not the right category or a deep, long-term conviction bet, most investors stay away.
Founders are stuck with large pref stacks and a market that doesn't value this growth. They are neither sustainable (at their current burn) nor venture-fundable (without growth).
The exit options (if available) don't leave much for the team. In most cases, founders are required to join the acquiring company (but they aren't interested).
I talk to many founders who have been misadvised, and they keep grinding without making progress.
The Series A or B that didn't happen won't magically happen in 1 year with a little more progress. If the market moves much faster than your company progresses, you will always be behind. If you are told today to hit some metrics and come back, the market will have already moved by the time you return.
I was not expecting to write an angel ticket this year... but this startup is really a rocket ship 🚀
Very excited for what they are cooking 🔥
