Got Kolibri-1 to play Breakout completely on its own, no fine-tuning.
The more I am playing with @Aleph__Alpha’s Kolibri the more I am getting excited about its potential.
Less talk. More Breakout. 🕹️
We optimized the inference for action probabilities: around 25 ms inference per decision.
Four moves. No generated text. One shared game.
Open weights. New possibilities.

Dear @Aleph__Alpha team - thank you for making Kolibri-1 open.
We care deeply about sovereign AI, and launching it on German Unity Day makes today feel especially fitting.
As a small gesture of support, we’ve hosted and made Kolibri-1 free for anyone to try for the next few days.
No GPU. No setup. Just try it.

Been churning personal copilots for practicing Kannada language, tracking workouts, etc and exploring generative UIs for a while. Put together a write-up covering how I went from prompt chaining to building an interactive app on top of PI agent harness -

TUIs are not good sorry yall
a CLI is a utility, and situational. this should not be confused with stuffing a full interactive GUI into a low capability platform.
"lets ignore all the great UI technology of the last 20 years and build some caveman shit"
JFYI @datadoghq - your customer service has gone down the drain majorly. It's not like your customers don't have alternatives that you can afford to be so bad.

Anyone travelling to North Goa @miagoaairport would know the taxis which cost Rs. 1200-2500 on avg to get anywhere.
While there is a little used AC shuttle bus service that gets you close at 1/10th the cost.

Heatmap of the number of words I write every morning like Github's commit heatmap. Created without leaving cursor.sh window, under 10 minutes. Guess what this does to my actual coding heatmap.

It seems CircleCI fired its founder for a personal post criticizing the Israeli government’s US-armed war crimes in Gaza. Huge respect to Paul, and shame on @jimdotrose & the board: “actions have consequences” works both ways folks.

I have worked with #PostgreSQL for more than 5 years now. In my earlier years at Blinkit, we faced a lot of downtimes just because we didn't have a DBA. I have tried to cover all the things which should be helpful for another #AccidentalDBA here: github.com/vishesh92/pg-prim…
Automation is a limiting factor in general I guess. E.g. I can let GPTx generate hypotheses to help me debug a production issue. But if those hypotheses can be tested automatically (which is quite possible in software), I can probably sit n watch incidents recovered by AI.
Replying to @kevinafischer
Yes, it will accelerate research but like a 10-100x google scholar
Experimental science is ultimately limited by… experiments
Has anybody used @datadoghq profiler and observed it open too many pipe FDs leading to too many open files? The profiler literally crashed my application so many times.

Finally, I ran each image through Vectorizer.ai to get more detailed images, and made background music using @beatovenai that generated a beautiful Indian Classical instrumental track with moods specific to the story.

Scrum is arranged marriage and Kanban is polyamory.
Just because Scrum is often oppressive and miserable does not mean Kanban is better or you can fuck any ticket on the board without rules.

165000 soundtracks were generated this month on @beatovenai and 15000+ tracks were downloaded and used in videos, podcasts, games, AI art and other forms of content! Good month overall!
I had not used @getsentry 's performance section until yesterday but today I love it. It's really cool how easy to enable it is, especially if you're already using Sentry for error tracking.

Do you know a few things about calligraphy or know someone who does? Would love to have a quick chat about handwriting to music generation.

Obviously if a team has an engineer or two who are product-minded, this might be in place: blog.pragmaticengineer.com/t…
However, there's a PM toolkit that most engineers are unaware of if not used e.g proactive customer feedback, dashboards for stakeholders, personas, north star etc
