One point from two PL games here. Team was built upon foundation of solid defence/organisation. That's now gone and attack was never prolific anyway but regressed without Brobbey. Upcoming PL schedule is Chelsea, *International break*, Villa, Spurs, Liverpool, Newcastle. Bleak.
Think this result puts Le Bris on notice at Sunderland. He'll get the Lech Poznan game as a freebie, but then Leeds (H), Brentford (EFL Cup) and Coventry (A) decide his future.

Le Bris has been incredible and was dealt a bad hand over the summer but sentiment in this game often ends badly. It's a good time to move on before twisting knife further. Xhaka interview post-game sums up the mood and why a different approach is required.

Will see few better centre forward performances this weekend than that from Jackson. Did everything and did it very well. Movement, hold up play facing and back to goal, finishing.

A word for Kamara too. Imagine how highly rated he would be now without the injuries. Reads the game brilliantly. Puts himself about when required too.

Conte comes in; happy training photos, initial positivity, running (!!!), good results, players say they're tactically better in interviews. Conte buys his guys, more good results. Then it hits a wall. He goes at hierarchy, slams players. Everyone is exhausted and it burns out.
I’m afraid it’s sacking territory for Carrick. Mad how United can go from destroying City 2-0 (should have been 6!) to this rabble but they have no plan, cohesion or fight. Injuries hurt but that’s no excuse. I’d go for Conte and watch the world burn.

Then the brains at United go lets do the young, cool guy thing again. Let's get Hürzeler! They give him another £300m for lads to suit his style. And then the cycle repeats, he eventually gets put under the bus despite some fun periods. It's United, they're just like this now.

Barcelona so, so sloppy all night and the last 15 they've been fatigued from chasing their own loose balls. Such a lack of control when it mattered.

It's mad to see how much punch PSG still have and they lost Dembele and Kvara in this game. Not skipped a beat in terms of creating and moving the ball despite changing up frontline.

Pardon?
Jalen Hurts was told by doctors not to sleep after his initial diagnosis of a superficial blood clot while in London. Hurts stayed awake for roughly 36 hours before starting against the Jaguars. (per @TomPelissero)
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tom Pelissero, the source cited, later clarified after speaking to Jalen Hurts' agent that Hurts was able to sleep after hospital evaluation and felt rested to play. x.com/TomPelissero/s… cbssports.com/nfl/news/jalen… sportingnews.com/us/nfl/philade…

Honestly can't think of a single positive so far this season. Not one. It's ok to acknowledge what Le Bris has done and be appreciative but also level some criticism. This is really, really bad right now.

This might actually be even too much for Wardley's chin. An absurd first round. Dubois is leathering him.

Fair play Dubois. Didn't hang around and let it stretch to the later rounds when it got dangerous last time. Wardley should not even be fighting here though, let's be honest.

What's the issue with Steur? Quite clear at HT Newcastle were screaming for someone to put their foot on the ball and direct things. Realise that Jaissle has a few issues but the way his midfield is turned over easily might be the biggest.

35 too low.
Check out number 35. I’d say Leeds fans have a little too much time on their hands!🤣🤣

It's the look up from Martinez when he says "other areas" have to be looked at. Scathing. #MUFC

That's some interview from Lisandro just now. He's gonna cop it for that.

Outstanding from Pablo Barrios tonight, has everything you want in a CM. Showed physical and technical sides of his game. A really smart player with his decisions on the ball too.
