By fleeing for the United States, Flávio Bolsonaro has escaped prison -- and probably ceded the Bolsonaro family's role as the leaders of the Brazilian conservative movement.

Portland’s Royal Sonesta: bought for $108.3M in 2016. Now reportedly sold for $6.83M for 220 rooms—just $31,000 per key. A staggering 93.7% price collapse. This is what happens when government fails at public safety, downtown disorder spirals, Measure 110’s consequences go unaddressed, and Multnomah County’s mental-health system fails people in crisis. Tourism doesn’t thrive where visitors feel unsafe and downtown businesses struggle to survive. Portland didn’t get here by accident. Policy choices have consequences—and taxpayers, workers, businesses, and property owners are paying the price. @mitch4portland @pnwpolicyangel @TeacherTiff4PDX @kanalforpdx @MayorKWilson

This collapse is happening in Portland, Seattle, and other cities. These places haven't recovered from the COVID era, which gave us lockdowns, the George Floyd riots, and the de facto legalization of drug-and-crime-generating homeless encampments. A policy disaster.

Ive been hearing these reports for a while. Deeply concerning that this proxy war is bigger than acknowledged and a reminder that the only real resolution is for Sudan and UAE to sort their issues directly.

They are politicizing aid at the same time that they are criticizing the west for politicizing aid. Around and around it goes. The problem is that neither side is fully right or fully wrong and rather than addressing the issue they fight about who's more right. While people die.

The vile comments on this post offer a snapshot of what Jewish people face daily. I’m not Jewish, but I’ve had a torrent of abuse since calling out antisemitism in schools. It’s not acceptable and these people are gross.
It is a stain on us as a society that Jewish children are frightened to go to school in Britain in 2026. I welcome Sir David Bell's review & thank those brave enough to share their experiences. Warm words will not be enough, the recommendations must be properly enforced.

The degeneration of the BBC continues
A day after it was revealed that the BBC paid £400,000 to Oscar-winning producer Lucie Kon for doing nothing after colleagues victimized her in the wake of October 7, it gave Green activist Ashok Kumar free rein on Politics Live to castigate a Jewish woman that her support for Jewish self-determination is antisemitic—then cut her off when she tried to respond. He gloated that the panel “looked like they were about to cry” and declared Zionism belongs in the “ugly dustbin of history” along with apartheid and Jim Crow. This is the same odious man who, on October 7, posted that the Nova festival massacre had “consequences” for “partying on stolen land next to a concentration camp.” The BBC not only platformed this radical activist to attack a Jewish guest but made no effort to do real journalism and correct his outrageous statements. The Beeb cannot hide its anti-Jewish/anti-Israel bias. A litigation settlement does not make a dent in their prejudicial and false reporting.

“I made too much of a noise about being a Jew inside the BBC.” That’s what Oscar-winning producer Lucie Kon says after colleagues victimized her in the wake of October 7. The Telegraph reports that the BBC paid her £400,000 and still won’t admit it was antisemitism. “It was like I had Jew stamped on my forehead.” While the BBC claims it’s stamping out anti-Jewish hate, it’s slanted and biased reporting about Israel and Gaza have helped fuel some of the worst antisemitism in Britain in many years. This brave woman, @FahimaSarfaraz, was blinded when her Taliban ex-husband threw acid in her face. He laughed & said she could never be the voice of freedom—because people would be afraid of her. She told her story to a huge crowd in Poland. And she said, “He didn’t win. I win.”

Shame on the police for taking the wrong side
Harman Singh Kapoor ran his London restaurant for 16 years. He refused to serve halal. His business, his right. So he was targeted. Threats. Mobs outside his door. Death threats, he says. And in March, when the police finally showed up, who did they cuff? Not the mob. Not the people threatening him and vandalising his business. Harman. The victim. That's Sadiq Khan's London. Stand up for your beliefs and you're the one in the back of a police van.

In two weeks in October, El Fasher witnessed the largest single mass slaughter of civilians since the Rwandan Genocide. Blood was visible on satellites, over 200.000 people just vanished Researchers later stated over to 60.000 were killed, we might never know the actual number.

This is where we are heading in France: Marine Le Pen will win the presidential election against Jean-Luc Mélenchon, but he won't accept her victory and will take his revolt to the streets.
