Today marks five years since the Communist Cuban regime brutally suppressed the peaceful July 11 demonstrations and yet again silenced Cubans’ cries for basic rights, dignity, and opportunity. To this day, hundreds of Cubans remain unjustly detained, suffering brutal conditions, for the simple sin of asking why Cubans cannot freely own businesses, participate in the political process, or provide for themselves and their families. The regime must release these political prisoners immediately.
President Trump and I want a better future for Cuba, in which Cubans have greater opportunity, freedom, dignity, and Cuba ceases to harbor hostile foreign military, intelligence, terror, and subversive operations 90 miles from the American homeland. The United States will continue to use every tool at our disposal to drive significant economic and political reforms in Cuba and to protect Americans from subversive threats emanating from Cuba.

The regime in Havana has recruited, trained and backed violent Marxist and third-worldist movements across our hemisphere and beyond. Today, we are targeting the network that enables and funds Cuba's subversive and radical operations.
Pursuant to sanctions authorities created by President Trump’s groundbreaking Cuba Executive Order, I am designating the following entities:
1. Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (MINFAR)
2. Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP)
3. Amistur Cuba S.A.
4. Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR)
5. Minera La Victoria S.A.
Anyone providing services to these sanctioned actors is at risk of sanctions themselves. Foreign banks and other companies that provide services to these entities should freeze those activities.
The Trump Administration will no longer tolerate radical Marxist regimes in our hemisphere seeking to threaten U.S. national security and engage in influence operations to export their poisonous and evil “revolution” to our country and around the world.

Adys Lastres Morera is the sister of the Executive President of GAESA, the Cuban military-controlled financial conglomerate that steals millions in aid for the Cuban people at the behest of the regime.
Morera was managing real estate assets and living in Florida, while also aiding Havana's communist regime, until I terminated her permanent resident status.
I am pleased to announce that today, she was arrested and is now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
There will be nowhere on this Earth - much less in our country - where foreign nationals who threaten our national security can live lavishly.

Within 24 hours I was planning my escape out of the country after being followed by their intelligence agents, and a 2 star general waited to interrogate me outside my hotel room at 4 AM. Right now Cuba has no oil or gas, 7/10 people are going hungry, there is no medicine and some haven't even had eggs in a year.
In communism there is no freedom of speech or press, and I was almost taken hostage for asking about communism. This is a look into Cuba like never before, no one truly knows how bad it is until now.
