Just listened to Collin Gosselin's interview on the @jayshetty podcast. WOW. I highly recommend you give it a listen. His story is SO powerful but even more powerful is his maturity and emotional resilience. What an incredibly brave, intelligent and lovely young man. πŸ™πŸ©·

Let me put this to you in a way you can understand. For everyone saying that Jane Doe didn't say No... Ask yourself what the circumstances were. She was ALONE, the only woman in a room with up to 7 men. Maybe she didn't feel like she COULD say No... #Cornell7

Wonder how SVU is going to tackle this Cornell 7 case. You just know the writers are scrambling to put together an episode for this season. #Cornell7 #SVU

The #Cornell7 case is legally fascinating and incredibly complicated. But I think there are several avenues for criminal charges. After listening to the recent @defense_diaries podcast, I especially think there are more potential charges aside from SA alone.

I also think that even if she didn't say No, once there are multiple men in the room, I think you could make an argument that she felt physically unsafe and forced to comply. Anything done in that situation is akin to having a gun to your head.

She was a woman surrounded by 3 to 7 men. Of course she would feel afraid for her safety!

If @LethalLauren904 is covering the Patrick Clancy interview, I would LOVE to go on and talk about it. I think it's wild how people have been attacking him and speculating about how he was as a husband and father. I don't get bad vibes from him AT all.

The whole "My wife doesn't have bipolar" thing seems bad on the surface, but I actually think he was trying to advocate for his wife. She was saying that the providers weren't listening to her, so I wonder if that reaction was him saying "You're not listening to her"

This is a massive problem for the DA. Every defendant has a constitutional right to a fair trial, which includes the right to: 1) Cross examine adverse witnesses 2) Challenge the credibility of witnesses and evidence The lead investigator is a HUGE factor in a criminal case
BREAKING: fired and decertified, former trooper Michael Proctor has invoked his 5th amendment privilege and will NOT be taking the stand. Funny how some can talk so much shit but then not say it face to face with the community members he targeted. Once a coward....

Because, defendants have a right to present EXCULPATORY evidence. That could include: 1. Investigator bias 2. Police corruption 3. Mishandled evidence 4. Incompetent investigation The DA can't hide Proctor's bias just by keeping him off the stand.

In this case, too, IIRC Proctor was the only person who directly "heard" the victim name Myles King by his rapper name. If that's true, it's a huge problem. No one else can testify about that. So if Proctor pleads the 5th, that information just doesn't come in at all
