Yo, have a suspicion that some folks won't be able to immediately figure out what's going on here and why @Vlad_Web3 says you can buy 1.6k $BERA for 290 $BERA, so I did some math 🤓
The first place we should look in this blog “Berachain Airdrop Overview” by @SmokeyTheBera, published on February 5, 2025.
* Link - blog.berachain.com/blog/bera…
From this blog, we need the following information:
- "Berachain Foundation has allocated 34,500,000 BERA tokens to the Bong Bear NFTs and rebase collections (Bond Bears, Boo Bears, Baby Bears, Band Bears, Bit Bears, and a future unreleased 7th and final rebase)"
- "34,500,000 $BERA is split equally across each collection, with 25,000,000 (5%) of the tokens unlocked at launch, and the remaining 9,500,000 (1.9%) vesting on the same schedule as all insiders, consisting of a 1 year cliff followed by a 1/6th unlock, and 24 months of linear vesting"
Well, let's get to the calculations. We will start from the fact that each collection has a part of unallocated tokens inside, which will begin to be distributed on February 6, 2026, after cliff. In this way:
The Bong Bears - get 2,239.510 after cliff and 11,197.548 during the vesting process
The Bond Bears - get 1,795.162 after cliff and 8,974.812 during the vesting process
The Boo Bears - get 834.651 after cliff and 4,173.256 during the vesting process
The Baby Bears - get 396.130 after cliff and 1,980.652 during the vesting process
The Band Bears - get 192.502 after cliff and 962.512 during the vesting process
The Bit Bears - get 96.869 after cliff and 484.347 during the vesting process
If you buy one of the existing rebase you can see these numbers here -> airdrop.berachain.com
But if you add up insta allo + cliff allo + vesting allo for each existing rebases, you find that only 29,571,417.037 BERA out 34,500,000 BERA is allocated for the first six rebases, where did the rest go? The remainder 4,928,582.963 BERA will be “hidden” in the next and last 7th rebase.
If for the 7th rebase the process of token distribution remains exactly the same as for the first 6 rebases, you will get:
- 757.784 $BERA insta allocation
- 47.993 $BERA after 1 year cliff
- 239.965 $BERA during 2 years vesting period
SUM: 1,045.742 $BERA
Now bit bear costs 300 BERA, buying it you get 96.869 BERA after cliff and 484.347 BERA within 2 years after cliff, besides you will get 7th rebase which in total will give you 1,045.742 BERA. So spending 300 BERA today will give you 1,626.958 BERA in the future.
Peace and Love

A lot of folks have messaged me about Jani’s post prior to its deletion.
It’ll prob come at no surprise that I don’t intend on airing dirty laundry in public, nor do I want to pretend it never happened and sweep it under the rug.
We’ve been in touch with the THJ team but haven’t been able to personally reach Jani in the last ~10 hours. I’ll reserve further comment, but it’s my opinion that this is a result of miscommunications and broken telephone, not malice. I think that Jani is a brilliant dude, a gifted builder, a mature operator, and generally a massive asset to the Bera eco, and would hate to see that change.
I can’t endorse his comms because I think that they had significant ripple effects that aren’t normally characteristic of someone like Jani who has spent years contributing to the Bera eco. But I’m not going to invalidate his beliefs either, and I understand the frustration. I think that the Henlocker situation is one that requires a fair bit of nuance because it really isn’t black and white (and this is something that I’d rather not dive into until we get to a resolution), especially in the middle of improving governance guidelines which we know aren’t perfect, especially in a system as complex as PoL. A lot of this is also learning as we go with a nascent economic system and there are teams that have caught collateral damage as a result of this which is our fault - I’ve also tried to be communicative and self aware about this in public.
I remain very supportive of THJ, Henlo and other initiatives in the eco, and hope to see them continue their work on Bera for years to come.
It’s times like this where I’d love to see the ecosystem come together and support each other as opposed to forming mobs. I’ve got no desire or incentive to hold the teams in the eco back - the whole team and I want to see them win; but of course in a sustainable and long termist manner, while being aware of any standards we might set in decisions made along the way. I know it’s not always easy, but I do truly believe that we all want to see Berachain win.
Tl;dr I’m optimistic on a positive outcome, I’m of the opinion that this has been more of a function of poor comms (on our side as well) than vendettas etc. I mean this from a perspective of accountability - we’ve got work to do and stuff like this certainly hurts, but we will continue to work towards a happy outcome for all folks involved.
Appreciate your trust and faith in us as we keep building.
Berachain.
