** JUST IN ** Trump has announced that Susie Wiles is OUT as White House Chief of Staff starting Monday, to be immediately replaced by Stephen Miller.
When you hear many people seemingly overreact to this, keep this in mind: You CAN'T overreact to this.
This is ABSOLUTELY an act of defiance, an injured narcissist refusing to be contrite as always, a tone-deaf and colorblind move, one that will harm the GOPs post-election chances for ... anything, probably a move that leads toother WH defections.
It would be nice if the GOP, especially the lame ducks, speak up. Miller is and always was a sociopath, since his days in Santa Monica - my hometown.
This is the double down of all double downs, which is bad.
It's also the overreach of all overreaches, and that part is good.

Congratulations Ilhan Omar. Federal agents raided her home on 12 October. Trump’s border chief talked of stripping her citizenship.
Three weeks later Minneapolis re-elected her with an even bigger share of the vote, 76%.
Trump tried to silence her. Her voters answered.

I would like to formally recognize Elizabeth Warren as a replacement nominee for Senate Majority Leader.
There is no Senator with a more progressive voting record—not even Bernie Sanders.
She is the only member of Congress to:
• Denounce AIPAC
• Refuse money from special interest groups
• Publicly post her tax returns every year
She supports:
• Universal healthcare
• Universal childcare
• Increasing the tax burden on billionaires
• Free public college for all
• Large-scale clean energy investments
• Overturning Citizens United
• Criminal justice reform, including ending private prisons
• Strong consumer protection (she helped create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau)

Think about this, we have now moved from Jim Jordan, who never passed the bar, to Jamie Raskin, a former Constitutional Law Professor, Harvard Law graduate, that will now be the Chair of the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary.
🚨 BREAKING: Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa fires back at Donald Trump following his warning about what would happen if she attempts to reopen the southern border.
“You cannot tell me what to do in my state. I am a Democratic governor, and I know what is best for my people. I have the interests of all Texans at heart, and I will do everything possible to be the best governor for this state. Texas is our home, and we will work to make it a peaceful place for everyone.”
Yesterday, Gina Hinojosa said her administration would work for ALL Texans, not just those who voted for her. She also outlined the next steps as she prepares to take over the governor’s office.
During her first press conference, she introduced her bipartisan transition team and explained what Texans should expect from her incoming administration.
Among the transition team members is Ernest Bailes, a former Republican state representative who opposed Governor Greg Abbott’s school voucher plan.
Hinojosa says she intends to represent the entire state, regardless of political affiliation, and work for both Democrats and Republicans.
“I will work for all Texans, irrespective of their political party, whether Democrats or Republicans. We all call Texas home.”
😱BREAKING: President Trump has warned that if Texas’ new Democratic governor, Gina Hinojosa, attempts to reopen the southern border, HE WILL STEP IN AND SECURE IT HIMSELF.
“If they don’t continue my policy? I WILL!”
Trump says he will ensure that Texas’ border remains secure if the state’s new leadership refuses to maintain his border policies. 🔥
Thankfully, the federal government still has a role to play in border security. Deportations continue, and Trump says the border will remain secured.
Meanwhile, Trump has also signed an executive order requiring Congressional approval before any future administration can make major modifications to the Oval Office or Cabinet Room.
This comes after he oversaw the demolition of an entire wing of the White House without Congressional approval. The move raises questions about the limits of presidential authority over changes to the historic White House.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video shows Texas Gov.-elect Gina Hinojosa at her Nov. 5 press conference announcing a bipartisan transition team and discussing public schools/unity, not border policy or Trump. U.S.-Mexico border security is primarily a federal responsibility.

Nós estamos focados no 1% errado.

🚨| Max Verstappen on Kimi Antonelli's Unique Traits:
— Max Verstappen humorously pointed out a key difference between himself and Kimi Antonelli, noting the Italian's linguistic skills. Speaking to media, Verstappen remarked:
“Well, he speaks Italian…”
— On a more serious note, Verstappen acknowledged Antonelli's exceptional talent and the guidance he received from a young age. He elaborated:
“More talent.”
“Well, that certainly helps a lot. And of course, he's also had proper guidance from a very young age with his father. His dad knows a lot more about racing than the average father, and if your son then has a huge amount of talent, that already helps a lot.”
— Verstappen reflected on his own early career challenges, contrasting them with Antonelli's situation. He explained:
“You can't compare it. I started in Formula 1 when I was 17, and for a very long time I wasn't driving a car with which I could fight for the championship. That was obviously the biggest problem, but the fact that Kimi is doing so well at that age is very impressive.”
— Verstappen also highlighted the pressures of driving for a top team and how Antonelli managed them. He noted:
“I think last year was difficult for him at certain moments. But of course, you learn from that as well, and those things also need to happen to grow. That's normal in a rookie season.”
“When you drive for a top team, everything gets scrutinised more closely. You can't really develop away from the spotlight, but he handled that very well heading into this year. He was right there from the very beginning of this season.”
— Beyond Antonelli's driving skills, Verstappen appreciated his grounded personality. He shared:
“He's just a normal guy. He doesn't act like he's a rock star or a superstar. He's just very genuine. He has a good heart, and I really appreciate that.”

MISSING IN ALABAMA — HER CAR IS GONE, HER PHONE IS OFF, AND HER DOG WAS LEFT HOME ALONE.
Morgan Barton (55) has been missing since Tuesday, November 3, after attending Doug Jones’ election-night watch party at the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham.
Police say Morgan was at the hotel around 6:30pm. Her daughter says she last spoke with her mother around 8:47pm that evening.
Since then, nothing.
Her phone is unreachable, her location sharing has been turned off, and her family cannot locate her dark gray Kia.
But there’s another detail that concerns me.
When family members went to Morgan’s home Wednesday, they found her dog there alone, without food.
Her family says Morgan would never disappear without contacting her children, and leaving her dog unattended is completely out of character.
Morgan is 5’4”, approximately 130 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a lavender shirt, dark purple skirt, and purple and blue shoes.
Where did Morgan go after the election party? And where is her car?
Anyone with information should contact Birmingham Police at 205-328-9311.

Peggy Noonan, the Reagan speechwriter who has spent decades as the Wall Street Journal’s keeper of the old Republican flame, has written the GOP’s obituary. Her verdict: Trump is the author of the ruin.
It wasn’t the war alone, she argues. It was the prices. The tariffs. Above all, the corruption, showy and shameless: crypto, pardons, federal contracts for his sons’ companies. Then came the decadence. Three days before the election, Trump threw a jungle-themed Halloween party with a caviar bar while Americans outside the gates added up their grocery receipts.
Ron DeSantis called Tuesday’s results “close to an extinction level event” for his party. Trump’s response: sign a ballroom beam, declare his office a national monument, and blame Fox’s polls.
Noonan has a line for that: “Please. It was you, Fredo.”
When a Reagan speechwriter is quoting The Godfather at you, the party is over.

This:
One of the biggest nights in the history of Latino politics in America, and still, some insist on reducing it all to immigration. They still don’t get it. Latino voters are not defined by a single issue. This is about economic opportunity, dignity, representation, belonging, and the future of the country we’ve called home for generations. It was never just about immigration. It was always about America.
