Judgment has been handed down in one of the most significant Commercial Court trials to date. 3VB successfully defended claims worth £1.4bn brought by the Danish tax authority (SKAT) in Skatteforvaltningen v Solo Capital Partners & ors [2025] EWHC 2364 (Comm). After a trial lasting a year and a day, the Court dismissed SKAT’s claims in full, finding no misrepresentation and no reliance. This was the longest trial in Commercial Court history. A team from 3VB – David Head KC, Christopher Bond, @devecs Tom De Vecchi and Sophia Dzwig – acted at trial for the DWF Defendants (alongside Hannah Glover of One Essex Court). They were instructed by Richard Twomey and Joshua Fineman of @DWF_Law. A landmark result for our clients and a defining moment for the Commercial Court.
