I opened X Analytics and closed X Analytics. Still had no idea if I was growing. So I created a GrokBot to do the math and reports for me daily... net follows, impressions, average reach per post, engagement rate, and a projected date for crossing the rewards threshold. Mine says I crossover to $ on Nov2 ....we shall see. I published the X Growth bot here: x.ai/bot/IQ2BfF_jULg4vWvnw8G…

Apparently, giving someone credit for their content is now considered THEFT. 😂 At least that's what I was told last week when someone got upset with me for resharing one of their videos. Their username was literally attached to it. Well, 𝕏 just introduced Photo Resharing, which makes that whole situation even funnier. Here's how it works: 📸 Find a photo you like, long-press it, and select "Post photo." ✍️ Add your own commentary and share it. 🔗 𝕏 automatically includes attribution linking back to the original creator. You're not downloading someone's work, stripping their name off it, or passing it off as your own. You're sharing something interesting while making sure the original creator gets credit. There's even potential monetization through Original Content Rewards for eligible creators. And that's the point. There's a BIG difference between stealing someone's content and sharing it with proper attribution. 😉

Michael Pollan reveals how the introduction of caffeine completely changed human history and consciousness. "Before caffeine, it was a very different world and a very different consciousness. People were drunk a lot of the time, buzzed almost all of the time because it was safer than water" "Water was really how you got diseases. If you fermented things, even low alcohol, it killed a lot of the microbes. So people, even kids, drank hard cider for breakfast" "Tea, chocolate, and coffee all arrive in the same decade in England, and things start to change... no one ate or drank boiling water or hot beverages before" "Boiling it made it much safer. This gave this incredible public health boost to these places, and then you have the drug that fosters a kind of more linear, rational, focused way of thinking" "People in the 1600s started writing about it saying, 'Wow, we have this new civil and sober drink that we can use.' And that, I think, makes possible things like the Industrial Revolution"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The clip repeats the myth that pre-caffeine people were mostly drunk because water was unsafe. Historians and medieval sources show water was commonly drunk from wells/springs while weak ale provided nutrition/calories, not a substitute for bad water. leslefts.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-gr… slate.com/human-interest… fakehistoryhunter.net/2026/02/02/dri…

It begins - my agents are diving in to this M6 Mac Mini to bring it up under Omarchy Linux as quickly as possible. Let's see how long it takes us to get from macOS About screen to Omarchy About screen. They're pulling some benchmarks first to see how it performs for local AI.

I want to meet the people behind the X usernames. Your background, what you're working on, what excites you, and what brought you to Omarchy, AI, linux and tech in general. Complete beginners, seasoned devs, AI experts, or folks who installed linux yesterday are all welcome! Some of the best conversations happen with people from different backgrounds so I want to hear your story, swap ideas, and make some new friends. It's FREE. No sales pitch, no agenda, no expectations. Just 2 folks who share an interest in tech and talking to strangers! LOL! Let's make this community about more than software and get to know the people who make it great. Grab a time slot and let's chat on zoom! (PLS RT!) calendly.com/nixfred

The more agents and projects you have running, the harder it gets to keep track of everything through chat alone. This is where Hermes Kanban comes in. Here's how Hermes Kanban works, why it's worth using, and how I'd recommend setting it up: Chat is where you work with an agent. Kanban is where you manage the work across agents. Hermes Kanban gives you a visual dashboard for tracking tasks across your agents and projects. But it's much more than a task board. Here's what you can do with it: • Create tasks and assign them to specific Hermes agents. • Track what's ready, running, blocked, or completed. • Set dependencies so tasks wait for other work to finish. • Coordinate handoffs between specialized agents. • Review progress and see where something needs your attention. And with the dispatcher, Hermes can pick up tasks that are ready to run and launch the appropriate agent to handle them. Now, here's something I'd recommend: **Create a separate Kanban board for each major project.** For example: 📌 Content production Research → Drafting → Review → Assets → Done 📌 Software development Bugs → Features → Testing → Review → Done 📌 Business operations Research → Waiting → In Progress → Blocked → Done Hermes supports multiple isolated boards, so each project can have its own tasks, workspaces, logs, and agent workflows. You can also connect a board to a Hermes Project to keep the work tied to the right project context. The more work you hand off to Hermes, the more valuable this becomes. Instead of digging through conversations trying to figure out what every agent is doing, give each project its own board and manage the work from one place. 🎥 Video credit: @tomcrawshaw01

Introducing Hommies A little buddy in your Omarchy that keeps an eye on all your running coding agents. I watch podcasts, play games, stream… and my agents never sit stuck on a dumb permission prompt or a silly question anymore. It pings me, and I answer right from the floating buddy or the top bar. Before this, I'd come back hours later and find my agent frozen on "Allow this command?" or on a question in some tab I forgot about. Not anymore. It's saved me hours. Works with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode & Omacode. Setup in 3 steps: 1️⃣ npm i -g @thisisayande/hommies 2️⃣ hommies setup (finds your agents and adds its hooks to their settings. Your existing hooks stay, and every file it touches gets backed up first.) 3️⃣ omarchy plugin add github.com/ayandexyz/hommies… Additional step :- omarchy restart shell Done with it? run > hommies uninstall removes every hook it added. Clean exit. Animation inspired by @tahayvr 🙌 @dhh @OmarchyLinux ❤️ PRs welcome! I want Hommies to become a full desktop assistant, not just an agent watcher. npm package - github.com/ayandexyz/Hommies Plugin - github.com/ayandexyz/hommies… also on marketplace plugins.omarchy.org/plugin.h…

Greyforge is building a foundation here. This is how projects become standards
We rewrote our open-source tools for Linux hosts in Rust, from Python, for speed, efficiency and quality. Startup dropped from ~60 ms to 1-2 ms and memory from ~20 MB to 2-9 MB, with bug fixes along the way. New names, same jobs, same files. One post per tool below.
