Just under 1,000 incidents logged for October alone, and that's only the ones I've found… The new Incident Map is now live on the Women For Restore website. I have been logging reported incidents and crimes from across the UK that affect women and children in this country, along with reports of missing children and cases where our hospitality or justice system has been abused. I've also included drug related offences, which can often go hand in hand with exploitation and violence in our communities. Each one appears as a pin on an interactive heat map, from police appeals through to charges, convictions and sentencing, so you can see at a glance what's happening and where. People are only named once they've been convicted or sentenced, or where the police have released details themselves in an appeal, but every pin links to the original source so you can read the full story. Too often these stories appear once in the local paper and then disappear, and many people won't have seen them at all. Putting them all in one place shows the bigger picture.
