Cdr Dharmender Kumar, delivered the opening address on 26 Oct 2026 for the DGR-sponsored Certificate Course in Ship Building and Ship Repair, being conducted by CEMS at Visakhapatnam, for 46 retiring JCOs & ORs from the Army, Navy and Air Force, from 26 Oct to 15 Jan 27.
The course equips jawans with practical skills in ship construction, maintenance, repair and marine engineering support. It prepares them for civilian employment in shipyards, dockyards, ship repair facilities and the maritime industry.
During the interaction, information regarding various DGR schemes, including CSC and PM BJP schemes, which can be availed by the participants, was disseminated.The participants were also encouraged to subscribe to DGR's social media handles across popular social media platforms to receive the latest updates.

The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida, conducted a practical biscuit making session under the Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Food Processing, organised under the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR).
The session provided 40 participants with hands-on exposure to biscuit preparation, strengthening their practical skills and understanding of food processing activities with entrepreneurial potential.
