Partial stateful node is here!
Happy to announce chibi: a node that syncs in minutes and lets you transact through your own local RPC. Trust no one because every value is proven.
It runs on practically any hardware. Need to send a transaction? Don't need to rely on RPC providers, just spin up chibi and send it right away. Live on Sepolia today and Hoodi next.

If you get an email with a PGP-encrypted payload, do not quote the decrypted message verbatim in a cleartext reply.
Twice now that the EF respond to my email and leaks my KYC details this way. 🫠
Better opsec required.

OMFG! This response from @AbdulElSayed to a completely bigoted question is probably the best thing I’ve heard all year.
Every bigot in America needs to listen to this three times.
Myotis came a long way. It even has a website for less technical users: biafra23.github.io/myotis/ Maybe you know someone who wants to get rid of (JSON-RPC) intermediaries? There is two special macOS bundles for Swarm and Railgun support.

If you are developing a RAILGUN integrated app or wallet, I call on you to make common sense UI upgrades that help users preserve privacy. While RAILGUN infra/cryptography is sound, user error can cause privacy leaks. If you are a user, read this thread to learn.

Gnosis bridges are now the first production system to act on FCR on Ethereum mainnet.
Starting today, the xDAI bridge and Omnibridge use Ethereum's Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR). Deposits from Ethereum are confirmed in about one slot, instead of waiting for finality.
Bridging from Ethereum to Gnosis Chain just got MUCH faster, and it's a big step on Gnosis Chain's path to @etheconomiczone.
Here's why it matters.
Now that Glamsterdam is life on Sepolia I learned that Myotis v0.1.13 was in fact not ready. v0.1.14 is :-/
Update for Myotis. I just released version 0.1.13 with Glamsterdam support for Sepolia. And some bugfixes for Railgun Support. github.com/biafra23/myotis/r…
If you want to check out the Railgun support, you can use this desktop Mac app: Myotis-v0.1.13-railgun-poc-arm64.dmg
Finally you can shield the WETH.
And all that without any centralized JSON-RPC server. Myotis is the zero option. See: ethereum.org/foundation/mand…

So I created this library and app that can disintermediate JSON-RPC services for Ethereum and Gnosis Chain. How do I find projects and users that are interested in using such a library? So far I have made it work with freedom-browser (ENS) and Swarm.
Can you help find projects that are interested to get rid of centralised RPC services? The project can be found here: github.com/biafra23/myotis#m… @LefterisJP @tw_tter @koeppelmann
The EF mandate specifically mentions RPC services as a choke point. But nobody in the EF showed an interest in my project. (Except Kohaku. But they have been dissolved in the meantime 🙁 )
Is that part of the EF mandate only a lip service?
