Oh GameStop:
"Warrants to purchase shares of Class A common stock (“Common Stock”) will expire at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on October 30, 2026."
hmm GameStop:
"The warrants will cease trading under the symbol “GME WS” on the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”) before the markets open on October 30, 2026."
investor.gamestop.com/news-r…
Do you see the difference of the October 30, 2026 times..?
The expiry to purchase shares is 5:00 p.m. New York City time, on 30 October 2026.
The end of trading for the Warrants is 9:30 a.m. New York City time, on 30 October 2026.
You do you, but unless these warrants literally blasted off the face of the earth, I made plans when they were issued to make sure I had cash to exercise. And with that, the warrant dividend was basically free, so zero or hero was me from the beginning when the warrants were originally issued.
So I thought I'd look at why this distinction of expiration to exercise is different from the time to trade the warrants. There are reasons, one I found is expiration time to exercise and expiration time to trade are often the same, but not always.
So I wondered why..? It doesn't matter to me, but nonetheless, it is interesting. These are not the only reasons, one search turned up the difference had to do with futures, etc. Still interesting though.
"Allows for strategic market reactions" might be my favorite reason though. 🤔

I’ve been through GameStop’s warrant agreement to check the one mechanism that could automatically push our $GME warrants past the 5pm New York expiry this Friday:
That's a pause of the share registration that covers the warrant shares.
Under §5.01, if that registration stops being effective “for any reason,” exercise is automatically suspended.
Under §5.02, the board can also choose to suspend it if it judges that “necessary or desirable,” and GameStop doesn’t have to say why if it decides in good faith the reason should stay confidential.
Either way, the pause must be announced by press release, and nobody can exercise while it lasts.
This doesn't mean it will happen, however, I'm exploring potential alternatives to worthless expiration, because I can't comprehend that Ryan would issue these under Project Genesis without a twist or a plan.
GameStop’s Oct 19th 8-K also reconfirmed the Oct 30th expiry, which an earlier pause would already have changed.
In my view this is a very unlikely outcome. If it did happen, we would see a GameStop press release and get at least five more business days.
Keep in mind that while the reason for a pause can stay confidential, the pause itself can’t be secret. This is my own reading of the filings, not financial advice. Don't buy or sell your warrants on the opinion of a wanker in London.

I guess you can always wait for the early morning raid. You do realize reporting false earnings numbers is still considered market manipulation, right..? But being a DSU grad, I’m sure they didn’t teach you that.

Imagine being a short seller who has manipulated stock prices for years and decades, and have perfected that mechanism that they’ve devised by manipulating prices of ancillary public companies, controlling sentiment through the press and social media, paid-off politicians, and regulators, all with the purpose to earn billions upon billions, from the very same people they manipulate.
Then, along comes a seemingly simple, non-college educated billionaire founder, with an unmatched will, and work ethic that has mastered his business skills since his early teens. Not based on favors, titles, or promises of grandeur, but based on common sense, human decency, and relentless devotion to every employee and owner of the business, by not overspending on needless expenses, and setting clear internal goals and expectations to those fellow operators. If they don’t agree with giving 100% of their effort, they have a choice and can either work hard, or take their problems elsewhere.
That business leader has made clear, he is 100% going to succeed, or die trying going down with the ship. Those unrestrained expenses and self serving goals will sink a business faster than an over-leveraged hedge fund in distress.
Now, that short-seller knows exactly what he is up against, and knows with 100% certainty, he will lose, at the hand of a proven operator’s, team’s, and owner’s success. That short seller just doesn’t know when, or how it will happen. But one thing is for certain, they will lose. Their remaining unanswered questions include how much, and will they survive..? They should choose wisely, but they have proven before, they don’t have a clue how to mitigate risk.
They are pretty good at manipulating to mitigate risk, and that leads to well before January 2021. For crying out loud, the ex-wife of the owner of the largest Hedge Fund, Market Making, Broker-Dealer business was singing RC’s and Chewy praises well before 2021. They did know they were screwed. At a minimum when their risk mitigation by manipulation plan kicked into gear with RobbingHood’s private company status, to take the heat, starting in December 2020, to round up the kids, so they could make an excuse, for their own stupidity.
These same short sellers, have been given multiple chances to test the demand of beginning to buy back their shares sold short, the media has run out of excuses to blame the price spikes on month’s old news. Every price spike in the past 6 years has been documented, with the exception of the Kitty’s brief return in 2024 (that one even has some theories attached to it).
The short sellers know, they can snap up a limited number of shares (~59M) with an exercise price of $32 per share, and that’ll be coming to a possible end in the next couple of days. Will they take it, or wait to learn their fate..? Ryan Doc Holliday, tells them to utter their potential last word and tell them to say, When.
Either way, there will be a lot to be learned in these next couple of days. If you think you know, I’d suggest to think again. I don’t know, but I like to think, and then I forget.
Remember when and what the MSM reporters and analysts were told to read at specific times over the last six years.
Short Sellers all closed in January 2021. GME short Hedge Funds all survived. The S3 reported short interest dropped by 50% within a span of 30 minutes on January 27, 2021. It is pretty clear that was all bullshit.
GameStop had run its course in January 2021. And again in March of 2021. Again at the end of May 2021, don’t forget August 24th, 2021.
Another significant pop in Nov 2021. Don’t forget the Battle for 180, the evening of Jan 6-7, 2022.
A really smart dude, who is an unwavering optimist, couldn’t have summed it up better, and when asked what can be done to help continue GameStop’s success, he said three simple yet truthful words:
Bet Against Us. 😊
The borrow rate on the $GME warrants I've seen is ridiculous, we know the short sellers playbook, there won't be enough shares to short, so naked shorts will be piling into these warrants.
If there's a last minute change, extension or conversion of the warrants into something Tokenized, holy shit they are fucked and they will be scrambling to buy back whatever excessive shorting they've participated in
Not Financial Advice, as of now you have to assume the warrants will expire worthless, but the possibility remains.

#GME #Gamestop #GMEWS #Warrants
project genesis, why i believe GameStop will extend the warrants,
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time studying the warrants, their original agreement, GameStop’s recent capital allocation decisions, and the market mechanics surrounding GME WS. The closer we get to October 30, the more convinced I become that extending the warrants, or introducing an alternative arrangement that preserves their value, makes considerably more sense than allowing them to expire.
GameStop distributed approximately 59.15 million warrants in October 2025, each entitling its holder to purchase one share at $32. Full exercise would generate approximately $1.89 billion in additional cash for the company. The prospectus explicitly identified investments and potential acquisitions among the intended uses of those proceeds.
At issuance, GME was trading around $25. The $32 strike was therefore approximately 28% above the prevailing share price, making the financing contingent on substantial appreciation within a relatively short period. If the sole objective was to raise capital before October 30, why establish such an ambitious threshold?
I think the more compelling explanation is that management wanted to establish a premium-priced source of contingent financing while giving shareholders an opportunity to participate in future appreciation. An extension would preserve that arrangement, allowing GameStop to raise capital at the original $32 exercise price while giving its broader strategy more time to develop.
And that broader strategy has evolved considerably since the warrants were issued.
GameStop made a $55.5 billion proposal to acquire eBay, subsequently accumulated a 9.8% equity stake worth approximately $4.9 billion as of August 1, and reported approximately $5.1 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities. This is a company actively deploying capital and pursuing transactions on a scale that would have been difficult to imagine just a few years ago.
Another potential $1.89 billion is meaningful in that context. It could replenish liquidity, reduce reliance on external financing or support subsequent transactions. The proceeds are obviously contingent on exercise, but preserving access to that capital has strategic value even if GameStop doesn’t need the money immediately.
The company’s recent financing decisions make this argument even stronger.
On July 7, shareholders approved increasing authorized Class A shares from 1 billion to 2.5 billion, providing substantial additional capacity for future equity transactions. Management subsequently negotiated the retirement of approximately $1.4 billion in convertible debt through an exchange involving approximately 55.5 million newly issued shares and $358.4 million in cash.
What’s especially interesting is that the original exchange contemplated settlement entirely in stock. GameStop subsequently amended the agreement, substituted cash for part of the consideration and reduced the number of shares issued.
That tells us something important about how @ryancohen approaches capital allocation. He’s willing to issue substantial equity when the transaction makes economic sense, but he’s equally willing to revise the structure when circumstances justify it.
I therefore find the argument that management would refuse to extend the warrants simply to avoid dilution, or even dumber, that time “ran out,” rather unconvincing. An extension creates no immediate share issuance, and the original $32 exercise price would allow GameStop to raise additional capital at a premium to the share price prevailing when the warrants were distributed. There is an economic cost to keeping potentially dilutive claims outstanding, but GameStop has repeatedly demonstrated that it evaluates dilution in the context of what the company receives in return.

Here is my honest opinion on the $GME warrants
They were issued as a dividend, free money for you to do what you want, hold them until expiration, sell them to buy $GME$GME $GME shares or even exercise early and give the company free money. There were no obligations for you to do any of those things.
However, as Ryan Cohen is someone who plans for the long term, someone is aware of the market mechanics surrounding GameStop's share price and large retail following, issuing a new capital raising instrument onto the same market we have seen continuous, repetitive cycles of abuse over five years is a decision he consciously made, he also holds over $6M in warrants as of the most recent 13D filing.
Do I trust him? Absolutely, he is an e-commerce genius and a black belt in fiscal discipline. He takes no salary and receives no golden tickets. Do i think the warrants expiring worthless is disappointing and pointless? Also yes, however I'm not running the company, I'm just a retail investor seeking financial rewards.
We're just over five business days away from the warrants expiring worthless, I hope they're converted, extended or amended, however the thesis on this being a $100bn company hasn't changed and I trust the leadership in charge.
Ryan's recent buys continue to demonstrate how aligned he is with shareholders. He's a retard, but he's our retard.
