What a day we had on Wednesday. Urged and inspired by our SPU Convocation leadership and @Letswai94, I championed the inclusion of sport in our celebration of Sol Plaatje’s 150th anniversary, recognising its power to bring people together and develop talent. It was a privilege to welcome one of the world’s finest coaches, Dr @TheRealPitso, to @MySPU to share his knowledge with schools football coaches from across the Northern Cape. Every coach received a copy of his pioneering youth football coaching book, extending the learning beyond the day. Grateful for the partnership of @NCProvGov’s Arts and Culture ministry, and for the leadership and initiative of our SPU Head of Sports, Dumisane Dondashe @DM_RSA. Celebrating a legacy. Sharing knowledge. Inspiring the next generation. #SPW150.

Because most of us were never involved, we’re being blamed because we share the same skin colour. Judging someone because of the colour of their skin is the very definition of racism.
