We can disagree on almost everything and still remain friends. Racism is one of those few things I can’t overlook.

Yes this sort of stuff is beyond the pale in a free society.Regardless of one's political persuasion no one should be supporting this. Libertarians,Liberals,Greens (etc) & conservatives should be able to agree that we as citizens have constitutional rights-and these violate them

Little bit of history: remember how during the civil rights era those who were on the other side of the issue kept blaming "communists" and "Northern Agitators" (in the South) as a way to make it look as though without those bad actors, everyone was just happy and fine?

Where is the legislative branch hiding? I see a few here or there...be nice if we saw a few more. They've been kinda MIA for decades now. It would be a nice time to remember they are a "co-equal" Branch of govt.

This is a constitutional violation here. The Press is protected by by THE VERY FIRST AMENDMENT. That's how important it is. Those of you who don't agree with it can take it up with the framers.
"I'm press, I'm press, I'm press! I'm with the Des Moines Register," she keeps clearly repeating as she tries to move out of the area. Police surround her, then pepper spray her in the eyes anyways.

Overconfidence is a pernicious bias, even in experts. It's astounding how few experts' confidence intervals included the correct estimate of #COVID19 infections in the US by 3/29 when forecasting for just two weeks in the future. (of course, non-expert estimates are even worse)

Hope that this #coronavirus thing teaches people about the importance of sample size and error rates in diagnostic tests.
"With 140,000 people tested, the country’s mortality rate is just over 0.6%" -- this is more accurate than the severity-biased samples from other countries; increased testing will illustrate this everywhere scmp.com/week-asia/health-en…
Surprised that @PeterAttiaMD missed 2 key questions with David Light (just catching up): 1. Did they use any methods besides GC-MS ? (may accelerate degradation) 2. Was [NDMA] proportional to pill dosage? This sounds like an analytical error exaggerating the problem.

The problem of antibiotic dev does not lie in needing new molecules, it lies in pricing and market access. Please tell academics justifying their research by supporting the dwindling pipeline that they are 100% wrong and to stop wasting @NIH @NSF funding. statnews.com/2019/05/02/fixi…
