✅ This is the FIRST RCT on the topic of EUS-guided rendezvous, on an important topic of difficult bile duct cannulation .
✅ Follows @ESGE_news definition for DBC for only benign biliary diseases.
▶️ 100 cases randomised
✅ primary outcome: technical success (TS)
Results:
☑️ TS: 92% vs. 90%; P = 1.00; RR: 1.02 [95% CI, 0.90 to 1.16])
✅similar: median procedure time (10.1 vs. 9.75); overall complication rate (12% vs. 10%)
✔️🎯EUS-RV and PcP have similar success rates as salvage techniques in the technically challenging cohort of DBC for benign biliary disease, with acceptable complications rates.

GABARNANCE: Ph II/III RCT of neoadjuvant gem/abrax vs. chemoRT (50.4 Gy) w S1 in borderline resectable pancreas cancer (n=112).
Median follow-up 23 months.
Improvement in median OS with chemoRT was not significant (p=0.3), but sizable difference (23 v 31 mo), and AGAIN we see delayed separation of curves.
2-year OS 42% vs. 63%. I suspect 3 or 5-year OS will be SS different.
Along with PREOPANC1 & 2, mounting evidence for addition of RT/chemoRT in BRPC.
