The entire left-right political spectrum is a lie designed to keep you arguing about the wrong things. Both "far left" and "far right" share one defining feature: the total subordination of the individual to collective power. The Soviet Politburo murdered kulaks for holding grain. The National Socialists murdered Jews for holding capital. Different scapegoats, identical mechanism: the state deciding who deserves to exist and on what terms. The conventional model places maximum government on both ends and freedom somewhere in the center. This model is geometrically incoherent. A line with tyranny at both poles and liberty in the middle tells you nothing about the actual variable being measured, which is the concentration of coercive power. The only axis worth mentioning runs from zero coercion to total coercion. Mao's China and Hitler's Germany sit centimeters apart on that axis. Venezuela under Maduro and Mussolini's Italy were structurally identical in their economic controls, even as their ceremonial aesthetics differed wildly. What passes for "far right" in media coverage today often means nationalism plus market skepticism, which is state capitalism with a flag. What passes for "far left" means internationalism plus market abolition, which is state capitalism with a committee. You get robbed either way; the paperwork just differs. The prefix "far" does no analytical work. It signals emotional distance from a speaker's preferred center, nothing more. A government that controls prices, conscripts labor, and criminalizes dissent is totalitarian. The color of its flag is insignificant.

Czesław Kiszczak nakazał - zgodnie to popiera. Myślmy nad nimi - i działajmy! Bo niedługo przyjdą po nas. sejm.gov.pl/Sejm10.nsf/Przeb…

The largest famine in human history was a timetable of a government improving on nature, and every line of it was announced as progress. 1958, January: Mao issues eight rules for farming. Two of them come from the Soviet biologist Lysenko, who taught that plants of one species do not compete, so seedlings can be sown ten times closer. Nobody in the room has farmed. 1958, spring: The Four Pests campaign. Every sparrow in China is drummed out of the sky, close to two billion birds, and the insects that fed their chicks are left alone with the wheat. 1958, spring: Deep ploughing is ordered. A metre down, in places three. A thousand years of topsoil is buried under subsoil that will not grow a weed. 1958, summer: Close planting. Seedlings packed so tight the lower leaves rot in the dark, and the fields are ventilated with electric fans and lit at night with lamps. 1958, August: Half a billion peasants are moved into communes. The private plot, the family pig and the family goat are taken into common ownership, and the pigs start dying first. 1958, autumn: Backyard furnaces. Ninety million peasants are pulled off the fields at harvest to melt their pots and tools into worthless iron, and the forests come down to fire them. 1958, winter: With the real harvest rotting unpicked in the fields, the provinces report the biggest crop in history to Beijing, 375 million tonnes, nearly double the truth. 1959: The grain quota is set on the fiction. The state takes its share of a harvest that does not exist, and ships 4 million tonnes abroad to pay for machinery. 1959, summer: The locusts arrive, then the borers, on fields with no sparrows. The counties that lost the most birds lose the most grain. 1959, July: Marshal Peng Dehuai tells Mao the countryside is starving. He is purged, and every official in China learns what honesty costs. 1960: The pig herd has halved. The oxen are eaten. In Anhui and Sichuan whole villages have nobody left strong enough to bury the dead. 1960: Beijing quietly buys a quarter of a million sparrows from Moscow, in crates, in hard currency. 1962, January: Liu Shaoqi stands up in front of seven thousand officials and calls the disaster three parts nature and seven parts man. 1962: The private plots are handed back. The family pig returns. The famine ends within the year. Three years of ploughing, planting, slaughtering and drumming against nature, and the dead run from fifteen million at the lowest count to forty-five million at the highest, in a country at peace, with a generation behind them never born. Every animal on that timeline was removed as a cost. The sparrow, the pig, the goat, the ox. The grain was the plan, and the grain was never enough. The famine ended on the day a family was allowed to keep a pig again.

#TrasaBosaka🍁

In 1932 Hitler’s party was elected in Germany. Within weeks the newly founded Bank for International Settlements in Basel was arranging a Wall Street syndicated loan for $125 million to reindustrialise and rearm Germany for the next war against Russia. The loan was renewed at term. In 1934 FDR made all ownership of monetary gold a criminal offence and expropriated all the gold reserves of citizens, corporations, and the Federal Reserve Banks to the US Treasury at $35 an ounce. If I received a letter like this I would urgently start exploring protecting my wealth OUTSIDE the United Kingdom and relocating military eligible youths to universities abroad as they neared draft age.

The biggest review ever done of what humans ate for two million years was published in 2021, and it has not made it onto a single plate graphic. Three researchers, two at Tel Aviv University and one in Portugal, went through about 400 studies and pulled out 25 separate lines of evidence, from our genes to our guts to the bones in the ground. The stomach says hunter, with an acid at a pH of 1.5, stronger than most predators' and close to a scavenger's, strong enough to kill the bacteria in meat that was eaten over days and weeks. The fat says hunter, stored in tens of billions of small cells the way a carnivore stores it, unlike the fewer, larger cells of a fruit-eating ape. The genome says hunter, with stretches of DNA shut down in humans to suit a fat-rich diet where the same stretches in the chimpanzee were opened up for sugar. The gut says hunter, with most of its length given to the small intestine that absorbs meat and fat, and a colon a fraction of the size of an ape's. The children say hunter, weaned at 2 to 3 years where a chimpanzee suckles for 5, because a mother with meat to hand can feed a toddler something other than milk. The tools say hunter, with spear points and butchering blades for nearly two million years, and the grinding stones for seeds turning up only near the very end. The rubbish says hunter, with camp sites full of elephant, hippo and mammoth bone, and the prey getting smaller over time as the giants were eaten out. The bones say hunter, with nitrogen readings in Neanderthals and early modern humans that sit above the wolf and the hyena, at the very top of the food chain. Put together, every line points the same way: from Homo erectus, about two million years ago, humans lived as hypercarnivores, and only turned to plants in numbers when the big animals ran out, in the last stretch before farming. Two million years on meat and fat, and about 12,000 on grain, which is under 1% of the time we have been human. The plate graphic puts the grain at the base and the meat at the tip, which is the whole history of the species printed upside down.

British pedophile John Maynard Keynes made one genuinely useful observation: in a severe deflationary panic, when businesses freeze and nobody spends, government can sometimes break the paralysis. During 1930 to 1932, as the Federal Reserve actively contracted the money supply and Hoover raised taxes mid-depression, aggregate spending collapsed. Keynes identified that rigid nominal wages meant unemployment rather than wage cuts when demand fell. But he built a catastrophically wrong policy architecture on top of it. The core error was treating consumption as the engine of prosperity. Capital formation drives living standards. Savings fund the machines, the supply chains, the research labs that make your dollar buy more next decade than it does today. Keynes dismissed this with his "paradox of thrift," which reframes savers as economic saboteurs. They fund tomorrow instead. The multiplier is fiction. Government borrows a dollar from the private sector, spends it, and Keynesians count the downstream purchases while ignoring the upstream subtraction. Frederick Bastiat called this the broken window fallacy in 1850, and Keynes simply repeated the error, this time using algebra. His followers made the original sin even worse. By 1971, Richard Nixon had absorbed enough Keynesianism to sever the last gold link entirely, handing central banks the wheel with no road. The 2008 stimulus, the 2020 $6 trillion blowout, the 14.7% CPI spike you absorbed at the grocery store in 2022, all trace directly to the intellectual permission structure Keynes created. He gave politicians a permanent excuse to spend money they don't have and inflate away the debt your savings absorb. One useful observation mangled into a century of monetary wreckage.
