This should be front-page news across every media outlet, but weβre in 2026.
In 2026, we have become immune to scandal and inured to disaster.
A story that should shame our nation due to the sheer scale of corruption and incompetence barely makes a dent in the national narrative.
Nigel Farage said something about immigration again β is all we get now.
Truly important stories like this are being suppressed by the shift to TikTok and π as news outlets.
The algorithm makes the news, not the story.

Mr Burnham, Silencing dissent did not use to be a British value. And certainly not a Labour value!
I know something about being banned. In 2024, the German state banned me from political activity on its soil, even by video link. My crime was helping organiseΒ a congress in Berlin congress, along with German Jews, about the genocide in Gaza. So I write as someone who has seen at first hand how quickly a liberal democracy sheds itsΒ liberalism once the subject turns to Palestine.
Now the UK government has banned Andreas Malm, a respected Swedish academic and author, from entering Britain to speak at the launch of Tribune. ForΒ generations, Tribune has given a voice to democrats, socialists and anyone who refuses to accept injustice as the natural order. Keeping one ofΒ Europe's important thinkers away from its platform is an act of political censorship, plain and simple.
Andy Burnham's admirers like to think of him as the cuddly antidote to Keir Starmer's stone cold managerialism. This decision shows otherwise. When it comesΒ to silencing those who stand up against the genocide of Palestinians, the new Prime Minister is just as authoritarian and just as callous as the man heΒ replaced. Only the smile is different.
Lift the ban. Let Andreas Malm speak. And let Tribune hold its launch without the state deciding who may address it.

Ahead of what will clearly be a coordinated assault on Zack Polanski - some basic facts.
1 - Yes, Polanski's own net approval ratings have dipped sharply in recent months. This is primarily the result of more people becoming aware of him and forming an opinion. His actual approval ratings have been remarkably steady and, at 19%, he remains considerably more popular than his party.
2 - By comparison Adrian Ramsay's approval rating when he was co-leader in June 2025 was 5%. 81% had either never heard of them or had never bothered to form an opinion. His fellow co-leader Carla Denyer was only marginally better on 9%.
3 - Reportedly 18,000 members have left in recent months. But this is in the context of an unprecedented surge in membership which took the party from 70k to close to quarter of a million members after Polanski became leader.
4 - The party now has more than 1300 local councillors, compared to less than 900 when Polanski became leader.
5 - Yes, the Greens have dipped in the polls recently. But even now they are at the same level they were when he became leader. And they are primarily victims of their own success having obliged the Labour Party to ditch Starmer - a level of influence the Greens could previously only dream of.
6 - The Zionism is racism motion is held up as having done huge damage to the party. An Opinium poll showed 56% of Green Party members supported it - and just 13% opposed it. A clear majority among all voters under 34 who expressed an opinion supported it.
By any logical criteria, if your aim is for the Greens to become Britain's first genuinely radical, mass political party, capable of holding the balance of power in parliament, it makes no sense whatsoever to get rid of Polanski.
It makes sense only if that is precisely what you don't want to happen.

They hate that we call out vast majority of media owned by a few billionaires who constantly distract.

This is an absurd and outrageous decision.
What kind of society are we living in where world-renowned authors and campaigners are treated as enemies and threats? The real threat is this governmentβs assault on freedom of expression.
This is not an isolated incident β and the government should know that it is gaining a bad reputation for censorship and repression.
We know why the government has taken this decision: because it wants to silence criticism of Israel, as well as its own complicity in genocide. It will not succeed.
The leading advocate for climate justice and Palestinian rights has been blocked from coming to the UK by the Home Office. Politicians, academics and writers have condemned this outrageous act of censorship.

Just in: IPSO has refused to investigate the Telegraph cartoon of Mothin Ali, the Green Party's Muslim deputy leader, grinning over a knife and fork at the severed head of Zack Polanski, its Jewish leader, who is drawn with a hooked nose. Nearly 1,200 of you complained.
IPSO's reason: the cartoon is about two individuals, so only Mothin and Zack can complain. How racist the drawing is doesn't come into it.
IPSO did not have to do this, and it has done the opposite before.
IPSO's rules let it take up a complaint from people other than the person written about, when the breach is significant, and there is a substantial public interest in looking at it.
In July 2023 it used that power. It ruled that Jeremy Clarkson's Sun column about the Duchess of Sussex was sexist, after complaints from two women's charities, the Fawcett Society and the WILDE Foundation. The Duchess did not complain.
The Telegraph's editor, Chris Evans, chairs the committee that writes the Editors' Code, which is the rulebook IPSO enforces.
The Telegraph is still selling prints of the cartoon today.
IPSO's rule says it may take up a complaint like this, not that it must. So this was a choice.
Picture a school. One boy draws two classmates, a Muslim boy and a Jewish boy. He gives the Jewish boy a hooked nose and puts his head on a plate, and draws the Muslim boy about to eat it. He pins the picture to the noticeboard and sells copies at the gate.
A thousand pupils go to the head teacher. She tells them she can only act if the two boys in the picture come to her themselves.
So the picture stays on the board, and every Muslim and Jewish child in the school walks past it each morning. The boy who drew it learns he can do it again.
And the rulebook the head teacher is reading from was written by a committee his dad chairs.
Nobody would say that head teacher is protecting the children. She is protecting the boy who drew it.
That is what IPSO has done. It says it regulates the Telegraph, and it has just told nearly 1,200 people that a racist cartoon in a paper it regulates is not its business unless the two men drawn in it come and ask.

Albanese found that Western Βmedia βcamouflagedβ Israeli Βresponsibility in headlines, with the BBC most Βcriticised for this, having been found to do so in 83% of its headlines, Βaccording to media analysis.
The βstriking exampleβ provided in the report was of Hind Rajab.
Five-year-old Hind Rajab was killed alongside her family while attempting to flee Gaza City two years ago. The car they were in was found riddled with 335 bullet holes from rounds fired by Israeli military personnel.
The BBC headline still reads: βHind Rajab,5, found dead in Gaza days Βafter phone calls for help.β
