This comparison again 🙄 Look, if I was an artist in the 1980s then sure, I’d probably be a bit intimidated by digital art too. But ultimately, analog art remained impressive and important, while digital art became a whole new medium in its own right.
AI art is NOT a new medium. It exists solely to mimic existing artforms for less money. That’s it. If you want it to be taken as a unique medium, then it needs to be labelled as AI generated so we can all tell the difference. But obviously, the AI crowd don’t want that, because they want to LARP as actual artists.

Last day for #SteamNextFest, so I'm going live to check a few more demos!
Unfortunately the stream and some footage got corrupt, but I did play @trodasgame and it's an awesome, moody and beautiful kind of game.
It offers good puzzles, enticing lore, smooth gameplay and really feels like a proper and complete package.
Recommend.

For all of those supporting the AI cloning of indie games - what are you trying to achieve?
You want your stores flooded with slop?
You want to make life even harder for small project devs?
Make it make sense.
Epic being mad about Steam's strict AI rules, just shows that despite them banking on company wide AI acceleration, they might not be able to enter the actual game market.
I mean... you have your own launcher and market, just use that :)
Calling Toph an "insufferable girlboss" is being more blind than her.
So I've played a bit of AION 2 over the weekend and it's strange...
It looks pretty, combat is quite basic, but the worst is probably that I am just running from one marker to another, and that's the game.
