I am deeply concerned about the heavy presence of police and weaponry facing down the Wet'suwet'en people.
There needs to be a serious de-escalation and respect for the Indigenous people who have a right to safety on their traditional lands.

We are extremely disturbed to learn photo journalist @photobracken was arrested by the RCMP while she was documenting arrests in Wet'suwet'en territory today. RCMP are refusing to release Amber, in violation of her charter rights.

Wonderful to hear of such a positive outcome from this partnership between the Lhoosk'uz Dené First Nation and UBC! What's the news on whether this will be an on-going project in partnership with all the other First Nations communities in need of good drinking water?
For 20 years, the Lhoosk'uz Dené First Nation has been trucking in bottled water. Now, thanks to a partnership with experts at the University of British Columbia, those days are over. bc.ctvnews.ca/remote-b-c-fir…
