Wondering if he missed the handoff to the FB here? Otherwise, not sure what the play was - out of a timeout. Would have been a similar play to Brame's first half TD if that was in fact the call.

FINAL: Meigs County 34, Austin-East 14. That is another Region 2-3A championship for the Tigers, and one last in Class 3A before they move back down to 2A next year. Meigs has won region championships 9 out of their last 10 seasons. @DPASports

FINAL from Evensville Rhea County 21, McMinn County 14 Tough result for the Cherokees, who were driving at midfield with a chance to win it with under two minutes left (without Sr QB Luke Lawson), but threw a pick six to the Golden Eagles. @DPASports

McMinn was driving — with the ball at midfield — and Rhea County jumps a route for the pick six. Tough break for the Cherokee offense that was rallying without QB Luke Lawson tonight. Rhea County 21 McMinn County 14 1:07 4Q Video from @PMacCoon @DPASports

Wow. Rhea County elects to go for it on 4th and 2 from the plus 12. STUFFED by McMinn County’s Jesse Jones @bubbaJ79 Cherokees ball, tied 14-14 with 3:02 left. @DPASports

HALF Rhea County 14, McMinn County 8 Cherokees firmly in this ball game after a methodical touchdown drive near the end of the first half. The question now is about the availability of senior QB Luke Lawson. After throwing an 11 yard TD on 3rd & goal, he was hurt on a 2pt.

McMinn County is vying for a home playoff game tonight at Rhea County in 3-5A play. If the Cherokees can top the Golden Eagles, they’ll control their own destiny for the two-seed entering the final week of the regular season. Kick in 10. @DPASports

Rhea County tries a 38-yard FG, but a bad snap kills that! McMinn offense back on the field with freshman QB Finnley Holmes in for the rest of the game. Rhea County 14 McMinn County 8 3:04 3Q @DPASports
