So, true to my word, I'm grudgingly admitting:
1) that somebody has found a way to stuff an entire game onto a blockchain without sneaking in a centralized service
2) it does something genuinely new and interesting
Whether its revolutionary or not remains to be seen

If you have under $10,000-25,000 with @CelsiusNetwork (or any crypto exchange that has frozen your funds), here is a step by step guide on how to get your money back ahead of everyone else using the law:

1/ DAO governance activity is exploding 💥. In the last year, we have seen:
• 8.8x in # of DAOs
• 8.5x in # of proposals
• 8.3x in # of votes
🧵 Here are 10+ key insights from @SnapshotLabs data on DAO governance

Some people responded "but technology HAS had few upsides and many downsides!"
I definitely agree there are important problems. But I also think much of the pessimism is narrative, not reality.

Explanation 4: today's culture is just in general more driven by fear of dystopia rather than excitement about positive visions, and so everyone's first question is now "will your thing create a dystopia?"
(If true, I think this is unhealthy and we should just fight it head-on)

🚨 CRITICAL ALERT
A severe 0-day vulnerability called #Follina has been exposed (since May 27th) in MS Word Documents.
It could allow hackers to take full control of your computer, in some cases WITHOUT even opening the file. 🧵

Web3 is not about forced decentralization.
Web3 is about the ability to be decentralized. It's about having the choice.
Infura/Alchemy are not bad as long as you have the choice to run your own node.
Custodians are not evil as long as you can self custody as well.

In Silicon Valley, ownership has long been embraced by startups to align incentives with employees.
But the vast majority of internet users own exactly 0% of the products they contribute to.
That's now changing via the ownership economy.

There's a new scam going around that tries playing off of your fear in order to trick you into signing away your valuable assets. Expect these to become more popular in the future. This is how it works 1/🧵

hey @Trezor, what are you planning to do about this data pipeline?
have you stopped giving new email addresses to @Mailchimp?
have you considered not collecting email addresses?
what steps have you taken to make sure other third party saas partners are secure?

i dunno how you build it exactly, but i think metaverse DAOs which remand governance to a separate fungible token should also allow NFTs to have voting rights in the DAO at some fixed token weight
not doing this creates risk of a divergence between NFT holders & ERC-20 holders

Wow this vote is insanely tight. ApeCoin DAO is literally rejecting passive income (probably like at least $100k per year) based on the fact that the staking proposal is not clear enough, not written by the community, & feels rushed. So bullish on this DAO

7/ X: "Once the image is on the internet it’s kind of absurd to tell people what they can and can’t do with it. Do we want platforms to build an AI that stamps out anything similar to Mickey Mouse etc.? I don’t want that."

im writing up the proposals, tldr:
1. bayc/bakc/mayc holders can stake their nfts for $ape
2. bayc/bakc/mayc holders can vote using their nfts

if we don’t figure out how to enable builders to create daos without fear, then zucc will win.

So @juiceboxETH, a DAO, provided the protocol that enabled @sharkdao, a DAO, to raise millions of dollars and buy 5 Nouns and take a meaningful part in @nounsdao, a DAO.
And none of these existed 3 months ago 🤯
