🚨Senior Tories and Sarah Ferguson named as people who fast-tracked firms into Covid PPE deals After a five-year legal fight, the government has finally named more than 30 senior Conservatives who referred companies into the Covid PPE VIP lane. Eight of Boris Johnson’s cabinet ministers appear, including Dominic Raab, Robert Buckland, Simon Hart and Robert Jenrick. Matt Hancock is linked to 27 firms, Lord Feldman to 21 and Lord Agnew to 14. Michael Gove, Grant Shapps and Graham Brady are also named. Sarah Ferguson referred a small pharmaceutical company that shut down in 2022. Companies that got this fast-track treatment were ten times more likely to win contracts, yet large amounts of the kit later proved useless. The Covid Inquiry called the system inherently biased. Why did ministers spend five years fighting to keep the names of those who referred firms into this preferential system hidden from the public?

💔FOUND CAT IN CILGERRAN #Pembrokeshire - APPEAL FOR OWNER(S)💔 🚗Yesterday, we heard about the heartbreaking plight of this poor little lad who had been involved in a road traffic accident in the Cilgerran area🚗 We can only imagine how frightened he must have been, injured, cold & in pain, with no way of understanding what had happened to him 🏥Thankfully, he was taken for emergency treatment at an out-of-hours Veterinary service, where he was found to be suffering from hypothermia & was clearly in pain. RSPCA Pembrokeshire Branch kindly covered his treatment before coming to us🏥 But this morning, despite receiving emergency care, this little lad had nowhere to go. He needed someone to step forward, somewhere safe to recover & someone willing to give him a chance. So we stepped up He was transferred into the care of our wonderful Veterinary team for further assessment &, thankfully, despite what must have been a terrifying ordeal, his injuries appear to be superficial. With pain relief, warmth, rest & some much-needed TLC, we are hopeful he will make a full recovery He is a young, unneutered male who sadly isn’t microchipped, meaning we have no way of tracing his family, if he indeed has one ❓️❔️DO YOU RECOGNISE THIS LITTLE LAD❔️❓️ If you live in or around Cilgerran or know someone who is missing a young male cat, please get in touch 📧 [email protected] For now, little one, you’re safe, you’re warm & you won’t have to face the next part of your journey alone 💚🙏💚Please share this appeal far & wide. Somewhere out there may be a family longing to have him home💚🙏💚 #teamgreenacres #rescue #rehomehour #caturdayeve #caturday #CaturdaySaturday #Hedgewatch #WALES

Suzie 🐾 PLEASE READ THE FULL APPEAL FOR ALL INFORMATION BEFORE GETTING IN TOUCH. We are looking for a very special home for Suzie, an adorable 11-week-old black and white female Whippet. Suzie is a lovely, bright and affectionate puppy with a fantastic temperament. She is playful, inquisitive, and very food motivated, and has already made a wonderful start with her training. She has been clicker trained and knows her name, can sit and stay for around 10 seconds, and is already learning to “boop” from a distance of 2–3 metres — giving her a great foundation for developing her recall as she grows. She is very food motivated, which makes her particularly responsive and easy to train. She is also doing exceptionally well with her toilet training, now toileting outside with only the occasional nighttime accident. Suzie has lived with two cats and has been gentle, playful and inquisitive around them. Unfortunately, one of the resident cats has found the arrival of a puppy extremely difficult and has become very distressed. Alongside some unforeseen sensory challenges within the family, this has led to the decision that finding Suzie a new home while she is still very young and adaptable is in her best interests. Suzie is also very good in the car and travels well. She enjoys listening to music and is generally a lovely little companion when out and about. We are therefore looking for a loving, committed home where Suzie can settle in and form strong lifelong bonds. Ideally, we would like to find her a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact appropriately with a puppy, and preferably with someone who has experience of Whippets or sighthounds. Breed experience would be a real advantage, although the most important thing is finding people who understand the commitment involved in raising a young Whippet and can provide her with the patience, training, companionship and exercise she needs. Suzie will be rehomed with all of her essentials to help make the transition to her new home as easy as possible. This includes the food she is currently used to and her favourite treats. Her current diet is James Wellbeloved kibble and puppy pouches, with ¼ scoop of kibble mixed with ¼ of a pouch. Her favourite snacks are Lily’s Kitchen chicken and turkey chews and Wainwright’s freeze-dried chicken, which she particularly enjoys mixed into her food — around 5–6 chunks is plenty. She also has 5 chunks of freeze-dried chicken just before bed as part of her current routine to help keep her blood sugars stable. She loves Lily’s Kitchen treats, especially the chicken and turkey puppy treats. As she is so food motivated, these are also useful for her ongoing training. Suzie is microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed and has no known medical issues. A full veterinary report is available. She is not yet spayed. This is a much-loved puppy who deserves a wonderful start in life, and we will be taking care to find the right match rather than simply the quickest home. If you feel you could offer Suzie the loving, experienced and secure home she deserves, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] When getting in touch please tell us more about you, where you stay, any experience and generally more about your currently life style, work, children etc. Without this information we will not be able to consider you and may not be able to reply. We don’t accept private messages to this page - email only to [email protected] We don’t accept calls regarding pets for rehoming, please email only. This helps keep the helpline free for other calls.

This lovely lad hasn’t had any enquiries 😞 can you please share to help him on his way? Odin is a beautiful 3 year old male Border Collie. He is available and looking for a new home.
Sadly due to the owners health , Odin needs someone who can provide him the stimulation and attention he needs. He is very much loved but would be best in a home with someone who can give him lots of walks and attention.
He is chipped and neutered and healthy with no concerns.
Odin can be wary of strangers to begin with and would need a little time to get use to anyone new.
He is okay with some pets and can be wary of others - due to this, he’d be best in a home with no other pets to save him any unsettlement.
Odin eats dry and wet food and is also crate trained.
He loves toys and can be strong on the lead.
Odin has had the same owner since being a pup.
He isn’t a fan of the hoover but does love to play with a ball.
He is more of a fan of women than men, so may be best with a lone female looking for company, although we will consider male households too.
Odin is very loving and affectionate. No cats.  For more information or to offer Odin a new home please email directly to [email protected]

Still 0 enquiries for this handsome lad. No calls, no emails, no messages. We really cannot understand why. 😢 😢 😢 😢 😭 We try to help these animals into new homes through no fault of their own and sometimes it becomes impossible. Please share if you can see this.
This handsome lad is still waiting for a new home. Teddy is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix - he is available and looking for a new home. He eats Ava sensitive skin and stomach mix from Pets at Home. Teddy is good in the car but only use to short journeys. He sleeps in the kitchen at night but would sometimes also sleep in his owners bed. He is registered with the vets and can be left on his own if you need to go out. Teddy is a big boy, he may knock small kids over, so he would suit a home with older dog savvy kids 10+. He loves people and is good once he gets a clap, but he is wary of men wearing hats. Teddy walks well on the lead and he use to go walking with a dog walker and was fine. Teddy loves a ball rope, he likes to chew on the rope until it's untied. He likes treats. There isn't much that Teddy doesn't like, however he doesn't like the sound of metal/shutter noise as he got a fright when he was a puppy. Teddy loves lying in bed under the covers. He would be best in a home with no other pets or cats. He isn't really fussed by other dogs when he is out walking. Teddy knows basic commands. For more information or to offer Teddy a new home please email [email protected] Sorry we are unable to accept messages to the page regarding pets for rehoming, please email the address above.

Why have the deaths of over 43,000 care home residents at the hands of inept politicians gone off of the news media so quickly? Shouldn't we be hearing about at least two people being taken into custody by now.
BREAKING: Covid inquiry chair, Baroness Heather Hallett, says that action to protect care homes came too late causing it to "spread like wildfire". Live updates: trib.al/rq3oWgR 📺 Sky 501

(Amanda) My good friend Auntie Maria (@madridnantes ) has been busy making these lovely cat blankies. She is doing it to raise money for cat rescues. If you send her a DM (whatever that is) then she will give you details of how you can buy them. Another way to help is by sharing this post. Thank you so much. @madridnantes

During the Covid-19 Inquiry a civil servant described the number of COVID-related deaths of elderly people as ‘“a generational slaughter within care homes.”’ This is a terrible indictment of Boris Johnson, Matt Hancock, Helen Whately and everyone who allowed it to happen. @BorisJohnson @MattHancock @Helen_Whately @Conservatives

🔴@Helen_Whately, Shadow Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, has claimed £2 MILLION expenses in 10 years. £300,000 relates to her own travel and accommodation - yet she only lives 50 miles from London. Her boss, @KemiBadenoch has 3 children, claims £2.7K per month to rent a 6 bed farmhouse & tried to claim expenses for a family holiday. The country can't afford these @Conservatives. - @Heccles94
Helen Whatley MP spends every day bashing disabled people online and calling them scroungers. She has claimed for almost £2,000,000 on expenses since 2015. £300,000 of this are for her own travel and accommodation etc, yet she lives 50 miles from London.

2020: Matt Hancock, "Right from the start we've tried to throw a protective ring around our care homes" 2026: Baroness Hallett, "The claim that a so called protective ring has be thrown around care homes right from the start was unfounded. Quite the opposite is true. The adult social care sector as a whole, appeared to be something of an after thought" My view: Matt Hancock said the government had tried to throw a “protective ring” around care homes. He repeated the claim in Parliament. Nadhim Zahawi later publicly backed it, while Boris Johnson defended the government’s handling when challenged. Now Baroness Hallett’s inquiry has rejected the claim as unfounded: care homes were not protected from the start; adult social care was treated as an afterthought. This was more than a failure of words. Patients were discharged from hospitals into care homes without routine testing, and care homes were not advised to isolate those arrivals. Staff faced shortages of PPE and testing, while residents and families bore the consequences. The inquiry describes a system that failed to plan for the risks and failed to put care homes at the centre of its response. What we saw was a collective failure—a collaboration of incompetence at the expense of life. The phrase “protective ring” offered reassurance while the protections people needed were missing. Thousands of families were left grieving, and care workers were left trying to cope with the consequences. Those responsible should face the findings honestly, explain how this happened and make sure the lessons lead to change. But the question remains, why is there almost no accountability for the actions government ministers took during covid?
