I ’m sick and tired of the H-1B industrial complex. Everyone seems to be making money—tech companies, universities, Indian outsourcing firms, and immigration lawyers—except U.S. citizens. Let’s all use the term H-1B INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. @USTechWorkers @amandalouise416 @GavinWax

Democrats want to turn on endless H-1B right as Microsoft wants to toss 60,000. Why are you voting for the people who want you and your family exterminated?

If Microsoft is offering buyouts and early retirement to 60,000 employees, then I guess they won't need any H-1B visas this year or next year? @StephenM can you let us know if Microsoft is cancelling all of their H-1B visa applications?

Wanna see something both infuriating and unbelievable same time? This started under DT T1. I had no clue how profound it was. And I am not a hardliner. Could understand some here and there. But look at these fucking numbers. Am dealing with shit personally.

Indian spouse took up 93% of H4 work visa, which effectively doubled India's capture of American jobs on US soil in a few years. 80% or more visa works work entry level jobs meant for American college grads. Not including OPT and visa overstays. Do we even know the diaspora size?

They were supposed to train Americans than go home BTW. @katiehobbs why did you let this happen.

🚨EXCLUSIVE MICROSOFT LEAK: Employees are questioning if Microsoft is abusing H-1B and PERM programs. A Senior Director at MSFT (good friend of mine) just sent me internal messages between MSFT & some of its employees. Today, Microsoft just asked THOUSANDS of its employees to voluntarily resign, despite just reporting $133.7B in net income for FY26, up 31%. Employees are questioning why MSFT isn’t pro-actively downsizing by removing H1B employees before American workers. Other employees are asking why any employee cuts are being made when profits are so high. Fair question if ya ask me. See below to see all of the orgs being asked to voluntarily resign. This is absolutely going to impact Washington States workers.

Microsoft currently has 6,000 applications in for H-1B visas. If they are downsizing by 60,000 people, then their H-1B visa numbers should be ZERO. Watch Microsoft very carefully on this. For the US based workers, are they getting rid of Americans in favor of H-1B visa workers?

🚨 MICROSOFT OFFERS BUYOUTS TO 60,000 EMPLOYEES. Just 18 days after the Trump administration suspended Microsoft from the PERM green card program. Here’s what we know: • 60,000 employees eligible for voluntary exit packages. • 27% of its global workforce. • Employees across the U.S., Canada, UK and India. • AI, Copilot, Windows and other divisions affected. • Another 4,800 jobs were eliminated in July. On October 8, JD Vance accused Microsoft of laying off American workers while sponsoring foreign workers. Microsoft disputed those allegations. Now the company is offering buyouts to more than a quarter of its workforce. These are voluntary offers, not 60,000 confirmed job cuts. The question: How many American positions will disappear, and will Microsoft continue sponsoring foreign workers for similar jobs? reuters.com/technology/micro…

I’m so sick of working with Indians. Every one of these jobs could be done by Americans. This is straight up theft of American jobs. About 90% of them are just contractors brought in through body shops. It’s the body shop mafia and their connections to the people running IT and politics.

Brutal. Pray for the families. I suggest the admin revoke every H-1B Microsoft currently has and help them save at least some of the jobs. This could save ~18k jobs.
NEARLY 1 OUT OF 3 (60,000 EMPLOYEES) AT MICROSOFT BEING OFFERED VOLUNTARY TERMINATION Emails should be going out any minute to those receiving the offer. Absolutely insane.

Microsoft laying off 30% of the workforce (voluntary buyouts for now but will become layoffs if not exercised) can be read a few different ways, all valid 1) AI replacement 2) They were 30% overstaffed to begin with 3) Adult day care is over 4) No more (or less) H1B nonsense Hopefully the era of the nepo job is over.

A year ago I wrote: 'AI didn't take your job. Offshoring did.' This week a former AmEx engineering director alleges roles were shifted to India through staffing firms while the company talks about AI readiness. I'd rather not be right about this one. But here we are.
A year ago yesterday, I wrote: “AI didn’t take your job. Offshoring did.” A year later, I have even less patience for the corporate explanations. In 2022, it was overhiring. Then restructuring. Now it’s AI and efficiency. 🙄 Companies are still eliminating positions in the US while building out similar capabilities offshore… Of course AI is changing the workforce. But it’s also become a remarkably convenient explanation for decisions that were being made long before generative AI entered the conversation. I’d pay considerably more attention to the workforce data than the corporate narratives.

🚨 BREAKING: WHITE HOUSE CLEARS MAJOR OVERHAUL OF THE PERM GREEN CARD PROGRAM. The Department of Labor is preparing changes to a system that hasn’t been comprehensively updated in more than 20 years. The proposed reforms target: • Recruitment of American workers. • Layoffs involving U.S. employees. • Discriminatory hiring practices. • Employer recordkeeping requirements. This comes just weeks after eight major technology companies were suspended from PERM. The proposal still needs to be published and finalized. But the administration is now moving beyond targeting individual companies toward potentially changing how every employer proves it couldn’t find a qualified American worker. news.bloomberglaw.com/daily-…

If your business model is to break the law, it’s not sustainable. We need to crack down on H-1B body shops, protect American workers, and impose serious penalties on companies that abuse our system.

🚨 DESANTIS CALLS ON OTHER STATES TO STOP H-1B HIRING AT PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES. Florida already prohibits its 12 public universities from making new H-1B hires through January 5, 2027. Now DeSantis wants other states to follow. His comments came in response to criticism of universities supporting OPT and H-1B programs while American graduates struggle to find jobs. Meanwhile, a new investigation found Oregon State lost 23% of its computer science enrollment in just one year. Universities are generally exempt from the H-1B lottery cap. Should taxpayer-funded American universities have to demonstrate they couldn’t find a qualified American before hiring an H-1B worker? businesstoday.in/nri/visa/st…
Get rid of these programs that bring in foreign workers at the expense of young Americans. We stopped H-1Bs at our universities in Florida and other states should follow suit.

Blackrock is intentionally destroying the middle class by replacing white American male tech workers with Hindus from India. It's the corporate Kalergi plan.
🚨 AMERICAN STUDENTS ARE WALKING AWAY FROM COMPUTER SCIENCE. And universities are paying the price. A new report from The Chronicle of Higher Education reveals: • Oregon State lost nearly 1,000 computer science students in ONE YEAR. • CS enrollment plunged 23%. • Online CS enrollment dropped 30%. • The decline contributed to a $19 MILLION budget shortfall. • Nationwide, four-year college CS enrollment fell more than 8%. For decades, Americans were told to study computer science because that’s where the jobs were. Now graduates are struggling to find work, companies are moving technology jobs overseas, and AI is threatening entry-level opportunities. Yet employers continue sponsoring H-1B workers and recruiting through OPT. Here’s the question nobody seems willing to answer: If American students are abandoning computer science because they’re worried about finding jobs, where exactly is the shortage of American tech talent? chronicle.com/article/the-co…
