this is leaving out those two totally not suspicious plane crashes he survived in ~48 hours that left him with the injuries that led to all of this spiraling out. This is how the US rewarded a guy who spent WWII kiIIing Nazis on his own time and dime for the love of the game.
In the final years of his life, Ernest Hemingway tried to convince friends and family that the FBI was following him, but they just told him he was paranoid.
In late 1960, he was admitted to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where he received electroshock therapy. Even there, he refused to speak freely, convinced someone was listening.
In July 1961, Hemingway died by suicide at his home in Idaho.
Years after he died, the FBI released files showing that they had been monitoring him for the last 20 years of his life.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Hemingway's FBI file mainly covers his WWII Cuba intelligence work with scant later entries and was obtained via FOIA not proactively released; it does not confirm sustained active monitoring for his final 20 years.

Raptors got 20 points in 85 minutes from their wings and lost the 3pt battle by 21 but I guarantee you all of the discourse is going to be about Cs and PGs
Not even mad at this game because I made chicken adobo and nothing can ruin my mood when I'm eating good
It wasn't hard but CMB clearly pushed there
The refs have made it very clear that they're calling a tight game you have to adjust
Scottie didn't push Franz but if you have your hand on his back and he jumps away from you the refs can't tell that in real time
This kind of thing is where a lot of the Raptors foul trouble comes from

Brazilians have reportedly been spending 6.5% more on staple foods since sports betting was banned in the country.
A month ago, Lula signed an order banning fixed-odds sports betting, a move he said was designed to tackle the problem of families falling into debt.
Now the President of the Brazilian Supermarket Association says that since the ban, sales of essential foods such as rice, oil, coffee, and noodles have grown by 6.5%.
I'm sorry but this is dumb
