Kolmogorov complexity... We meet again. The article has a section which explains why KC is uncomputable with a simple contradiction example. Most people know about the halting problem but this is the first simple explanation I have seen for KC yet. quantamagazine.org/researche…

"Covirgin" no more, me and the wife got the Covid and recovered during the last 2 weeks. Does not look like we have anything lingering right now, but time will tell. Complete mystery how we got it though! 1/7

Felt the same, it was eerily comforting because I already knew how it felt ("mind" was vaccinated, I never get feverish normally and it would have been kinda scary). 2nd day I was tired, with more fever, especially at night time. 2nd day experienced splitting headaches. 6/7

Days 3-5 were just riddled with stuffy and runny nose 24/7 and lots of sneezing. Little to no fever. Then I was good as new! Did not experience the loss of smell / taste so it all points to the omicron variant. Wanted to document the experience (and our confusion) here! 7/7

Impossible triangle (AKA Penrose triangle) live MIDI art. I've always been fascinated by this optical illusion, it was a fun challenge to try and recreate it this way. #livemidiart #piano #keyboard

But in that guide, it’s not done with hyphenation or variable spacing. It’s monospaced text in a monospaced font. It’s a plain text complete guide to Super Metroid, which is _manually_ fully justified… via word choice. Just because the author could. Kaboom.

Achievement unlocked: Got vaccinated without ever contracting covid. Maybe old news for many, but this has only recently been possible for me where I live. Feeling very fortunate - yet the suffering of the less fortunate during the last 1.5 years keeps me bitter at this moment.

The Real Book - 99% Invisible

Since the mid-1970s, almost every jazz musician has owned a copy of the same book. It has a peach-colored cover, a chunky, 1970s-style logo, and a black plastic binding. It’s delightfully homemade-...
