AI has transformed software engineering. Can it do the same for physical-world engineering? RWE-bench suggests it is about to. Impressed by the team's work! Disclosure: I'm a founding advisor, board member and equity holder at Xplore. They originally offered me to join them full time, which I turned down to continue working at Epoch.
Introducing Real World Engineering Bench (RWE-Bench). AI isn’t great at designing rockets, engines, or chips yet. With better evals and RL environments, it will be. Software was just the beginning. The physical world is next.

Just delightful videos of Bedouin Israeli voters riding camels to the polls, mostly to vote for Ra'am, an Islamist party with a Jewish #2 that could be the kingmaker in the election's outcome.

Genie 4 is quite an insane experience, generating game-like enviornments as you go. It isn't flawless but I can type "Neogothic brutalist city inhabited by robots and horses" & it creates one in a minute. Then I asked it to add dragons. Then a friendly otter NPC. All in realtime

Insufferable people are upset about this great ad.
Whether or not anyone builds it... everyone dies. The future is uncertain. Your impact doesn't have to be.

ICE is calling 60 minutes fake and gay.
Fake & Gay! Moussa Diawara, the Malian national featured in this shockingly poorly researched @60Minutes report, now faces allegations of immigration FRAUD after his asylum application surfaced, revealing that he claimed to be a HOMOSEXUAL man who feared persecution in Mali. Read more ⬇️

Incredible thread on the Brazilian election. The Bolsonaro movement is sick. Seems to be like MAGA but somehow crazier.

A new video suggests that ICE agents shot at this car in New York, which had a 5-year-old inside, while it was still driving down the street. Watch when the bystanders duck. It was only later agents came around the car. Wildly dangerous to everyone.

This guy is either stupid or a liar. Perhaps both. He had a valid grant of withholding or removal that allowed him to have a work permit. Attorneys should not be openly lying about a case in a public forum.
This happened in my district. @60Minutes is reporting fake news. As @DHSgov and @ICEgov have already made clear, this guy was not a “Texas father.” He’s an illegal alien whose very existence on American soil violated federal law every second of every day for 25 years. Don’t want to get caught up in the government’s fully legal third-country removal policy? Don’t be here in the first place. Easy. We are a nation of LAWS. Follow them, and life is good. Break them, and life is bad. And hey @Uber: why are you allowing illegal aliens with orders of removal to drive on your platform?

I know that paper well and I even like the authors. But the evidence that it adduces does not support its conclusions. Among (many) other things, it counts only projects that are proposed, ignoring all the projects that are never proposed. @JaneAFlegal is right on this one.
So who are you going to trust? A research paper written by professors at UT Austin and Harvard? Or an informal “survey” in a report written by the very lobbyists pushing for BAAJA and fast data-center construction? 🤔

"Polls are such BS - after all, no one asked us" is the kind of sentiment you'd hear from the drunk at the end of the bar. Wild to hear to top politicians (who should understand polling) pandering to such nonsense, surely to lay the groundwork for stolen election claims.
Mike Johnson: "When I'm in these big arenas, I ask for hands -- 'Show me your hand if you've answered a poll in the last six months.' There will be like three hands among 300 people. I'm telling you, these polls are off. All of them."

"I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune." There is no slogan more fitting for this White House.
TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

Trump supporters delight in Trump’s cruelty, of course, but they also engage in their own vile speech and actions as a virtual initiation rite into the MAGA movement — it’s the way that they demonstrate that they have the "courage" necessary to take on the left. This perversion of the concept of courage is central to the MAGA ethos. In MAGA’s account of history, the Republican Party before Trump was a collection of cowards and quislings — people who knew the right thing to do but refused to do so because they were desperate for the approval of progressives. nytimes.com/2026/10/25/opini…

As expected, Anthropic’s S1 has plenty to say on its liability exposure and insurance shortfalls. 👀 Highlights: “Our AI models may behave in unintended, misaligned, or autonomous ways, including by taking harmful actions that no user or third party directed.” “Harms associated with our AI models, whether arising from misuse by third parties, from our models’ own behavior, or from their deployment in high-risk or sensitive contexts, may expose us to liability, litigation, and regulatory action, including under theories that remain unsettled as applied to AI…” “Our insurance policies also may not provide sufficient coverage to adequately mitigate the potential liabilities we face, especially where any one incident, or a group of incidents, causes disproportionate harm.” “Further, the insurance market for AI-specific risks is nascent and evolving, and we may be unable to obtain coverage for certain Al-related liabilities on commercially reasonable terms, or at all, leaving us exposed to potentially significant uninsured losses.” “In addition, with the scale of harm that could result from a catastrophic AI-related incident, no single insurer, and potentially the insurance industry in the aggregate, may have sufficient capacity or expertise to underwrite insurance commensurate with such exposure.” “There can be no assurances that we will be able to predict, detect, and proactively prevent every harmful use or harmful output of our Al models, in particular as we continue to rapidly develop our models, platform, and applications… [which may] result in costly legal liability.” “We have taken steps to limit our liability for such matters-for example, through warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability in our terms of service-but those contractual protections may not be upheld, or may not apply to certain claims, or may otherwise be insufficient to limit our liability exposure under applicable law.”

“They sent him to Ghana, with full knowledge that Ghana is systematically deporting refugees back to the very countries they fled,” says immigration attorney Meredyth Yoon. 60 Minutes obtained the names of all the people on a flight that left Texas on July 30th and took deportees to three countries in Africa, including Ghana. Of the 19 deportees 60 Minutes reached who were sent to Ghana, 17 say they were then transported against their will to countries U.S. immigration judges ruled they should not be returned to. Moussa Diawara was one of them. The Department of Homeland Security told 60 Minutes that Ghana had provided the U.S. with “diplomatic assurances for [Diawara’s] safety.” Yoon says the U.S. government was warned about Ghana’s conduct in a lawsuit last year. Despite this, the U.S. sent 10 more flights to Ghana, which Yoon believes is a violation of international law. cbsn.ws/4zTVoQo

This type of fearmongering about Israel is wrong. It is not a winning strategy for any state. It does nothing to help Michigan Democrats win up and down the ballot in eight days. Do we need to lower costs by building more homes, securing people’s health care, and creating a fairer federal tax code? Yes, we do!! How we do so is not by blaming the high costs of our goods on the only Jewish homeland in the world. I want to see Democrats succeed at every level, and that means keeping our focus on lowering costs for Michigan families and reining in this out-of-control President.
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.
