In our latest @edchoice @MorningConsult survey of K-12 teachers (9/25-10/7), these numbers jumped out to me in light of all the current attention - at least in our neck of the woods - on the new federal education tax credit. > Awareness is understandably low. Less than one-fourth of teachers (23%) said they had heard "a great deal" or "a lot" about the new federal tax credit, while 30% had heard nothing at all. > Support for states opting in is substantial. After receiving a brief description of the tax credit: 70% supported their state participating, including 67% of NEA members and 71% of AFT members. The contrast between union member responses and union leadership’s public positions is worth watching.

Huge victory for universal choice in Tennessee. A 3 judge panel at the trial court granted our two motions and dismissed the case. Opponents will appeal but final victory is one step closer. .@edchoice @BeaconTN @GovBillLee @WaltBlanksJr @shakamitchell

ESA critics often treat any misuse as evidence that a program is failing. But we don't apply a zero-misuse standard to Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, or public schools. Why should ESAs be different? My latest for @edchoice: edchoice.org/2026-the-imposs…

#Homeschooling isn't always an all-or-nothing choice. Among U.S. households that homeschool at least one child, 53% send another child to a conventional school at the same time. In a new piece for @edchoice, Lab Director @AngelaRWatson breaks down her latest study with @hmatthewlee (@kennesawstate) and @AlbertxCheng (@OhioState) on "sector mixing." Does school choice cause public schools to close? It’s a claim we hear often—but what does the data actually show? We appreciate @edchoice continuing to bring research and facts to the school choice conversation. Good education policy starts with good information. #SchoolChoice #OhioEducation
Does school choice cause public schools to close? EdChoice's Dr. Marty Lueken examined research from 1992-2020 to track public school closure probabilities before and after states adopted their first school choice program. Here's what he found: evidence that private school choice increases closure risk is weak and inconsistent. edchoice.org/2026-does-schoo…

A new national EdChoice survey shows ESA support rises sharply when people know what ESAs are. In Iowa, that means clear, accurate explanations are essential. #SchoolChoice iowaace.org/esas-support-edc…

For those who missed it, we released a survey with @prendalearn to learn more about the experiences and opinions of Prenda guides! The data is quite positive and gives an in depth look at microschooling from the eyes of a microschool leader
EdChoice researchers wanted to learn more about microschools from the guides who run their own at Prenda. Are they satisfied with their profession? How engaged are the students? These questions and more are answered in our new survey. edchoice.org/2026-what-we-le…
